I don’t live in any of those areas. If I could move anywhere it would be AZ. Unfortunately, I’m stuck in the dredges of the upper North East. It’s awful.
I moved from Worcester, MA. I’m taking it you’re in upstate Vermont, New Hampshire, or Maine.

DC is definitely an area worth moving to because there are a lot of good Catholic & Christian Churches here and a good youth environment. Front Royal VA is also a great Catholic community but small.
No debt for me. But I’d rather marry than be a priest
You can always be part of the permanent deaconette with permission of the spouse. I have an Evangelical spouse who actually does not object to me being a deacon. If you’re healthy, you could be volunteering at least 20+ hours a week well into your 80s. But you don’t need to be a member of the clergy to disciple people or practice your faith intensely. That is definitely a misnomer. Let the Holy Spirit drive you, but always be prudent.

I’ve been there. It’s not exactly a hip Catholic scene. Marginally better than the rest of New England because it’s urban (like Boston) and has the basilica but not outstandingly so. Their CARA study was not much better than my dioceses as far as the age of the average Catholic.

A good place for me to practice law. A good catholic diocese where I can meet devout people my age. Not too cold. A nice music scene since I play music too. And good food. And preferably a monastery near by.
You probably should specify by what you mean by “not too cold” . I wonder if there is a search engine for what you want. (lol) I guess that is us.
