Obama professes to be a Christian and we should give him the respect of accepting that statement. That does not mean that we cannot comment on the fact that there is for a little that he is done during his administration to lead one to believe that he is a Christian or that he really adheres any faith at all., but then I think you can say that about most presidents in my lifetime with the exception of Jimmy Carter and George W. Bush.

You keep saying you are not a birther. What does “birther” mean to you? I understand it to mean someone that doubts that Obama was born in Hawaii.

In addition, the term birther is an over-simplification. The issue is about Mr. Obama’s eligibility under the Constitution, and there’s more to it than his birth certificate:

-he was a dual citizen of Kenya and the USA - Congress should have investigated whether dual citizens qualify as “natural born citizens”

-he may have been a citizen of Indonesia as well, but he hides his documents

-did he use an Indonesian or Kenyan passport for traveling to Pakistan?

-was he enrolled as a foreign student (possibly as an Indonesian student), did he receive financial aid as a foreign student at Occidental College, Columbia, and Harvard?

-did he ever renounce his Kenyan and possibly Indonesian citizenships, or is he still a dual, possibly triple citizen?

Last but not least, show us the actual documents or notarized copies of the documents (birth certificate, passports and foreign travel records, college admission forms, financial aid documents), not some photoshopped and electronically manipulated/edited image on the internet.

Her parents (who raised Barack Jr.)'s friends.

I finally was curious about this issue and wondered what was up. Why all of the mystery about this problem that could be so easily resolved. I’ve determined from reviewing lots of sources that Obama was in fact born in Hawaii on the date and at the time that has been reported. The item that won me over was the fact that an announcement of his birth was published in a local paper within days of his birth. The annoucement was the product of a report from the official records department not from a family member.

I believe that the official record is not produced since it contains statements that would be harmful to him. For instance it may provide that his religion is Muslim, who knows? So the plate continues to spin, but as far as I’m concerned he was born in the U.S.A. and is eligible to serve as Pres. Hopefully he’ll be a one-termer.

How does the fact that Barack Sr married Barack’s mother without divorcing his first wife lead you to conclude that Davis is Barack’s father??

We are just left to speculate as to why the record hasn’t been produced. I don’t care what religion may be listed on his birth certificate or that of any other politician, the question remains that it hasn’t been produced for a reason. Naturally that reason is POLITICAL!

The presidential candidate officially rejects the claims, but the issue of Obama’s personal faith has re-emerged amid conflicting accounts of his enrollment as a Muslim during elementary school in Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim nation.

Widely distributed reports have noted in January 1968, Obama was registered as a Muslim at Jakarta’s Roman Catholic Franciscus Assisi Primary School under the name Barry Soetoro. He was listed as an Indonesian citizen whose stepfather, listed on school documents as “L Soetoro Ma,” worked for the topography department of the Indonesian Army.

Catholic schools in Indonesia routinely accept non-Catholic students, but exempt them from studying religion. Obama’s school documents, though, wrongly list him as being Indonesian.

After attending the Assisi Primary School, Obama was enrolled – also as a Muslim, according to documents – in the Besuki Primary School, a public school in Jakarta.

Indeed, the Israel Insider online magazine points out in Obama’s autobiography, “Dreams From My Father,” he acknowledges studying the Quran and describes the public school as “a Muslim school.”

“In the Muslim school, the teacher wrote to tell mother I made faces during Quranic studies,” wrote Obama.

It’s a fact that Obama’s mother and father were not legally married since it would be illegal for Barack Obama Sr. to have more than one wife at a time. Face it, Stanley Ann Dunham faced the same issues that many “tolerant” liberals throw at Bristol Palin. An unwed single teenage mother. Luckily for Obama she didn’t share his vision of young women being punished with a baby and didn’t seek an abortion as he said he hoped his daughter would/could.
