Which Bible should I buy?

PLEASE NOTE:

The OP has already purchased the UK Catholic Truth Society bible, which is basically the Jerusalem Bible with “Yahweh” replaced by “Lord”, as per the request of Pope Benedict XVI. We all have our favorites, and it does not matter all that much, as long as we rely on the Church for guidance.

But those horrid notes in the NAB…

I really like the NAB. I feel it is very clear and easy to read.

Also the psalms have been replaced with The Grail translation and the start of lectionary readings that have modified starting to make the context clearer at the lectern are presented as the lectionary version.
Therfore in most English speaking countries this Bible will give exactly the same reading as found in the Lectionary for the readings used at Mass.
