Which Christian denominations support Gay Marriage?

You know, I would affirm that I believe everything that Justin Martyr and the rest of the Church taught with regard to Christ and the eucharist in 150 AD. I believe that next time I am in a Catholic church that I will go ahead and receive it. Thanks for the invitation!

Closed communion was the universal practice of the early Church.

Many, if not all Protestants had closed communion until recently. Some protestants still have closed communion.

Go ahead, after you receive Sacramental confession, make a profession of faith and are received into full communion (with the Sacrament of Confirmation) with the Church.

Yes, I have been told directly by priest at Catholic weddings that I am not welcomed to receive Communion. My children have been told at their Catholic school that they are not welcomed to receive Communion but may approach the alter for a blessing. Yes, as a non-Catholic I am aware that the RCC does not welcome other Christians to the Lord’s Supper.

By the way, don’t you believe that some priests were involved in making the notice on the back of your misselet?

Don’t think that all of that was part of the process in 150 AD, from the perspective of 150 AD I already am a member of the Church.

Then you need to correct your profile and remove “United Methodist” and replace it with “Catholic.”

Why? It’s a given that all United Methodists are catholic. All who belong to Christ are welcome at Christ’s table in our services.

But the Early Church was East and West before Roman Catholicism and before there was a recognized East and West.

When the one holy Catholic Church split sadly in 1054, did only the Roman Catholic side keep the truth and entirety of the Faith or did it get split equally among both divorced ecclesiastical spouses? It’s like a cell that split in half. Orthodox don’t believe Roman Catholics to have the truth or validity and Catholics accuse Orthodox Christians of being “defective” because they lack the papacy. Anglicans split from one of the spouses, the Roman Catholics, and RC’s declared them to be invalid. Yet many Orthodox recognize Anglican orders as valid? Does the entire, whole, perfect Church only exist in one of the spouses?
