Which of popular Christian musicians are Catholic?

Not yet mentioned on here, but John Angotti is Catholic. So is Fr. Liam Lawton. If you enjoy music in Spanish, there’s Santiago Fernandez and Pedro Rubalcava.

👍 John Angotti used to be the contemporary choir director at my home parish here in West Virginia. He’s been back a couple of times to perform since he ‘hit the big time’. I’m friends with him on Facebook.

The late, great, Peter Steele of Type O Negative had apparently come back to the Faith after years of being an atheist.
 
Yes, Matt Maher is Catholic and his music is played often on Christian radio stations. As far as I know, he is a faithful and joy-filled Catholic Christian musician. My daughter and I like his music very much.
 
Surprised no one has mentioned Joe Zambon yet. He’s a Canadian Catholic artist.

He released his latest album “Brothers” last year.

My favorite Christian artist is Chris Tomlin. Yeah, unfortunately he’s not Catholic. I also follow Matt Maher and Audrey Assad. Learned a lot of “new” Catholic artists in this thread so thanks!
 
A high percentage of Cajun musicians are Roman Catholic. If anyone’s interested, I’d be happy to make a list for them.🙂
 
A few are Audrey Assad, Steve Angrisano, Sarah Kroger, Danielle Rose, and Jesse Manibusan,

Sometimes in the “About” sections, it will say if they are Catholic.

Have you heard of Bob Marley? He was a Catholic convert. Best folk artist: Beth Nielson Chapman has a great recording of Catholic songs we learned in grade school. 👍
