Good video. I watched until the end, when the priest got a standing ovation, and a handful of young people in the back who did not stand, including one who appeared to bang his head on the back of the pew in front of him …
I noticed him, too… Poor little dude. I don’t know, maybe he believes all the talking heads that are saying this is about Catholics wanting to take away everyone’s birth control.

Those Sunday morning propaganda sessions have become so predictably stilted toward the far-left that whenever the President wants to saturate the airwaves with his message he simply has to snap his fingers and someone like Rahm Emanuel, or now, Jacob Lew, show up in studio and basically orchestrate the entire program.

That these characters lack broad appeal, or any sense of mass credibility, makes no difference. They are projected as authoratative figures, and their message is sold as if it were another marketed product. Slick and insincere, but effective.

Sunday morning “news” programs have become nothing more than “State Controlled Media”. It is reprehensible, but there is great power behind it. In times like these it seems that active dissent is almost a civic responsibility (and a moral imperative).
You are so right, & this is what concerns me so much. I am afraid that we are going to lose this battle because nominal & non-Catholic people are going to buy into the White House’s & media’s claims that this is about providing necessary health care to women ‘no matter where they work’

Hopefully we won’t lose this in the courts, but I’m worried we might in the court of public opinion.😦

It won’t be free, you can be sure of that.

It will simply be included in everyone’s premium, including that of Catholic institutions unless somehow Catholic institutions will get a premium discount that nobody else gets. But if Obama really and truly is going to mandate that insurance companies NOT charge Catholic institutions for the cost, then everyone BUT Catholic institutions will be paying it. Once people fully grasp that everybody else in the nation is subsidizing Catholic institutions, it will put the Church out on an extremely unpopular limb.

And perhaps that’s the point. Everything the man does is a trick and a trap.
I couldn’t agree more…like I said…no one has ever accused him of being stupid. He is very far from it. Everything is a “strategy”. One way to at least slow down the runaway train? Vote him out in November. Why am I not confident that will happen.:frighten:

As the old saying goes "Freedom of the press is reserved for those who own the press!:

Those benevolent insurance companies will no doubt pass up millions of dollars of profit to give out this stuff free. :banghead:
If you believe this I have a bridge for sale and I’ll throw in the river under it for free!

As Mr. Obama channels King Henry II : “Will no one rid me of this troublesome priest?” Pray that Cardinal-designate Dolan or other church leaders don’t go the way of Thomas a Becket.

Sad to say, it may come to that one day if things keep on the way they have been.😦

I remember Cardinal George (of Chicago) making a statement a few years back.

" I expect to die in bed, my successor will die in prison and his successor will die a martyr"

That timeline might get pushed up a bit

Watching Fr. Groeschel is like plugging into some sort of time machine. He was involved in the Civil Rights Movement before it had even been defined as such. The best part of last night’s program was when it was asserted that Martin Luther King had always insisted upon being referred to as the “Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King”, so that it was made clear to all that his message and moral authority derived from Jesus Christ.

One of the greatest slanders, in my view, is the way the faithless radicals on the left cloy their way into the shadow of the the Civil Rights Movement, and by extension, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King. These are the same frauds who blaspheme against the very Saviour he worshipped. Hypocrites!

At my place of employment there is a worker who has a poster on their desk with a picture of Rev. King saying “I have a dream.” and next to it is a picture of Mr Obama saying “I am the dream!” To me this is blasphemy to equate Dr King with some one as faithless as “You Know Who.”😦

As long as catholic employers are paying for part of these plans, they are paying for those contraceptives because nothing is for free.

Planned Parenthood gets hundreds of millions of dollars from the feds for “free” contraceptives. Why is it so hard for women to go there to get their evil devices?

A few years ago I had a priest compare Obama to Jesus Christ during his homily during Holy Thursday Mass. The priest’s bishop received a very angry letter from me asking the bishop why he has a priest that compares the most pro-abortion president in US history to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

It would be interesting to know if you got an answer and if so what it was!🤷

Those folks, waiting for promised hand-outs, are the same ones who got us in this mess in the first place and they will no doubt vote for Obama again, still waiting.

Well, here is the letter I sent. I replaced private information with PRIVATE for privacy reasons:

Most Rev. Robert Cunningham
240 E. Onondaga Street
P.O. Box 511
Syracuse, NY 13201-0511 04/01/2010

Your Excellency,
Code:
I am writing you this letter today regarding what I consider a grave error and hopefully you can help. Tonight, I attended the Holy Thursday Mass at PRIVATE Church in Binghamton, NY at 7:00pm. Presiding were Revs. PRIVATE, and two deacons. Everything was fine up to the homily, except Rev. PRIVATE chose not to use incense in the entrance which I do know is optional according to the GIRM. Being the start of the Easter Triduum, I thought it would be prudent to use, rather than not, considering the sacredness of what we were entering into.
During Rev. PRIVATE’s homily he did not mention the institution of the priesthood specifically. Just “service to others” and in regards to the Eucharist just “bread and wine” to feed us. This hardly did any justice to the Gospels and the institutions of the Most Holy Eucharist and Holy Orders. Considering the fact that the majority of Catholics of the Roman Rite do not believe in the Real Presence of Our Lord in the Eucharist and the daily attacks on the priesthood in the press, this certainly would have been a prime time to teach the faithful giving them strength and hope in this evil world.
At the end of Rev. PRIVATE’s homily, he related a story about how President Barrack Obama traveled to a farm on a rainy day. President Obama then knelt down on his knees and wiped the mud of off the reporter’s shoes and even the ones of the “Fox News.” Although Rev. PRIVATE related it as a factual event, I have found no evidence of this actually occurring. In addition, I am deeply offended at the parallel this supposed event drew between Jesus Christ and President Obama. How can anyone, especially a priest, ever draw the parallel between Jesus Christ washing the feet of the Apostles, the first Bishops of the Catholic Church, and President Obama, a mere mortal, who is a staunch supporter of the murder of unborn babies? Words don’t describe how I felt at that moment. I am beyond appalled. Stunned.
In closing, I thank you, your Excellency, in taking the time to read my letter. I apologize if I offended yourself or Rev. PRIVATE. It really concerns me that a priest, during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, even mentions the most ardent supporter of abortion to occupy the White House and tries to draw that parallel to Jesus Christ. The only time President Obama should be mentioned during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is praying for the conversion of his heart.

                                                                                                                   Sincerely,

                                                                                                                   PRIVATE

Here is the Bishop’s response. I erased private information:

We can hope that the Bishop had a private conversation with the Priest which he of course could not disclose to you. It’s important though to keep writing these letters and letting the Bishops know when we observe this kind of activity at Mass.

I feel blessed that our Priest and our Bishop, however they might feel personally about the liberal agenda, speak the truth. In fact our Bishop sent a letter regarding the HHS action immediately after it was announced and a couple weeks before it became the subject of national news. Poor man is in a heathen state that allowed abortion before Roe v Wade and was the first state to enact a euthanasia law. He has his work cut out for him but he’s definitely battle scarred and unafraid to speak out against evil
