She was a former slave who converted to Catholicism and had a tremendous devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. She was a third order Franciscan. She died on her way to morning mass on the Feast of the Sacred Heart.

I absolutely love this beautiful Daughter of the King who served the poor and loved Our Lord so deeply.
