Does that really surprise you?

It isn’t disputed by most Mohammedans that he married Zeinab, or that Zaid was his legally adopted son. It was so unusual even to the people of the 7th century that a verse in the Qur’an was required to quiet the dispute.

Much like a verse that settled the controversy when his child wife was accused of an affair with a Muslim soldier during a war party.

I believe what I do, supported more on reason than faith. I read both pro and con on any subject I am passionate about. Somewhere in the middle of such comparrisons is something closer to a truth than either extreme presents. Sometimes the truth is extreme.

I also prefer to compose a response rather than cut and past from a website because my reasoned view is often different in significant nuance.

The marriage to Zeinab has had a lasting impact in Mohammedan culture. Is this your view of adoption? I think it is more than just a cultural difference, but a fundamental shift away from the kind of family love God intended. I can’t help but think that is subtle evil at work. One of many evils that come from Islam, and some not so subtle.

If you have not read the comments from some Mohammedans on CAF (much less other news/information sources) that defend the assassinations, the marriage/consumation to a 6/9 year old child, the unprovoked battles against Jews in 7th centuray Arabia…, and/or hope for a socio/political Islamic theocracy destined to sweep the world again soon…then you are probably have a real life. 🙂

The links you posted do two things… they justify Muhammads sins, they state that well other did it, and they misrepresent what is in the bible and the talmud.

For example the first one says that the bible justifise the rape (or having sex) with 3 year olds. This is just not true. No where is it justified in the bible or in the Talmud.
 
The OP is putting their own cultural context on the passage. In Islam, dogs are seen as impure and the Islamic legal tradition has developed several injunctions that warn Muslims against most contact with dogs. This is why abuse of dogs in the Islam world is not uncommon. For a Muslim, calling someone a dog is about as low as you can go. We don’t have that same cultural context when reading the passage that the OP does. That is why he has difficulty accepting that the passage actually refers to the animal called “dog” and was not an insult of a people.

He was also using it to show that the Bible show Jesus insulting people. One of the things that the OP has tried to do on this forum is to show that the bible is false. This was just one more attempt.

Of course I find this attempt very funny since in the Qur’an Allah is said to have turned Jews into apes and pigs.

Plus, the illogic of the “bible is false” argument that Muslim posters regularly use here, is the fact that when it suits them, they quote the bible to “prove” Islam is correct! When I have pointed out that they had previously argued that the bible is corrupt, they will respond, “Oh, but this part was not corrupted!” When pressed on how one can determine which parts of the bible are not corrupted, the response is always, “We can tell it is an uncorrupted part of the bible if it supports Islamic teaching.” 🤷

So, turning people into animals is less severe than an “insult”? And Jesus did not “insult” anyone. He was referring to the animal called “dog”.
