Yes, Chen Zhen, I also agree that the book “The Liturgical Year” is one of the greatest ever written to give proper understanding of the liturgy, especially as it includes in a harmonious matter, the fullness of the propers from medieval latin tradition, many pieces which have been forgotten or suppressed (most of which I use) and the propers of the greek constantinopolitan tradition.
I also think Dietrich Von Hildebrand’s books are amazing tools which transcend the boundaries or bias of the word “traditionalist” to go to facts that are the heart of the truth of the matter and very precise specific explanations and criticisms.
I love David Bently Hart’s books as well, though he is Eastern Orthodox he writes in a way which is very friendly and harmonious with the Latin Catholic tradition as well.
