I have found out!
They are Consolers of the Heart of Jesus and of the Holy Face, a French Congregation of Foucauldian/Monastic inspiration. Eucharistic adoration, full traditional Divine Office in choir and 15 decades of the Holy Rosary in common daily. I met them on the steps of Santa Croce in Gerusalemme last summer.
Yes, they look radiantly happy in their beautiful habit. How nice to see such vocations arise in the oldest daughter of the Church! Here is their French website: paroisse-draguignan.com/comrelig/consolation/consolation.html
I learned about them through phatmass. They certainly appear to be a very beautiful community. From what I understand they celebrate Mass in the Novus Ordo and the Office is said in Latin.
There were some more pictures of them over at phatmass, posted by a member “Ale” under the Nun’s Picture Thread. phatmass.com/phorum/index.php?showtopic=67897&st=200 It is the very last post on that page.
EJAMES said something about them on the next page of that thread as well, saying they are the women’s equivalent of the Little Brothers of the Cross in Canada. He posts some really good photos of them too!
They seem like a great community with a wonderful spirituality. I do not speak French so I wouldn’t be able to translate the site. Perhaps someone can do that? There really doesn’t seem like all that much is offered on the website. Probably just the basics. And on a side note, I think their habit is just lovely.
Thanks for posting this. They have always stood out to me, mostly due to their lovely habit. It stands out. It is good to know though that not only is their habit lovely, but they really are too!![]()
