Here is their French website: paroisse-draguignan.com/comrelig/consolation/consolation.html

I learned about them through phatmass. They certainly appear to be a very beautiful community. From what I understand they celebrate Mass in the Novus Ordo and the Office is said in Latin.

There were some more pictures of them over at phatmass, posted by a member “Ale” under the Nun’s Picture Thread. phatmass.com/phorum/index.php?showtopic=67897&st=200 It is the very last post on that page.

EJAMES said something about them on the next page of that thread as well, saying they are the women’s equivalent of the Little Brothers of the Cross in Canada. He posts some really good photos of them too!

They seem like a great community with a wonderful spirituality. I do not speak French so I wouldn’t be able to translate the site. Perhaps someone can do that? There really doesn’t seem like all that much is offered on the website. Probably just the basics. And on a side note, I think their habit is just lovely.

Thanks for posting this. They have always stood out to me, mostly due to their lovely habit. It stands out. It is good to know though that not only is their habit lovely, but they really are too! 🙂

Yes, they look radiantly happy in their beautiful habit. How nice to see such vocations arise in the oldest daughter of the Church!

Here is how the first part of the website translates: The Little Sisters of Consolation of the Sacred Heart and the Holy Face were founded in 1989 and recognized in the diocese of Frejus-Toulon; a fraternity of nun missionaries in the spirit of Father de Foucauld; they have as their charism the desire to console, each moment of their lives, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, as well as the Holy Face, the visible expression of the love and sufferings of this Heart.
They do this by means of a contemplative life and an apostolate that is compatible with their life of prayer.

Sounds good to me!

Yes, they ARE beautiful Sisters! I love their habit!

As it was said by a previous poster, it’s good to see vocations in the Eldest Daughter of the Church!

👍 🙂

The next part of the site reads,
United in the heart of the Church to the great prayer of the Christ for the glory of the Father in the Holy Spirit, the Little Sisters of Consolation say the great office every day in Latin, and chant the Mass Gregorian style, recite the rosary, and adore the Blessed Sacrament, faithful in these things to the spirit of Father de Foucauld. Their community life is to be very simple, in imitation of the daily gospel life of Nazareth, under the patronage of the Holy Family.

Apostolate

The Little Sisters of Consolation are not cloistered, so as to favour a flexible apostolate whereby they can make shine forth the love of the Sacred Heart (working) with children (4-17 years of age, support, catechisis); young people (welcoming retreatants, accompanying young people on pilgrimages and camps); adults (spiritual conferences, pilgrimages, work); elderly, sick (visiting).

Work

The Sisters live by the work of their hands: a workshop for ornaments and banners (new and restoration); handiwork (picture framing, wax statues, icons, watercolours, rosaries, marmalade…). But, they rely above all on divine providence, accepting alms and charity (gifts, volunteer participation in the work of repairing the monastery…), of their visitors and friends whom they recommend to God, recognizing them in their prayers.
