As the months slowly pass by, the day for receiving Confirmation gets nearer for me, I’m starting to realize more and more just how much I love my faith. It’s taken a long road to get this far, and I feel I’ve really grown spiritually. And I’m no doubt going to grow more in the future as well.
One thing I really love and am really grateful for is being able to “choose” a patron saint. Though, you know, it’s not really us choosing. We’re really finding a life-long friend that we can always come to. They’ll have our backs for sure! So that leads to the question of, how did you stumble across your patron saint? I’d love to know.
For me personally, as my username implies, I’ve chosen Saint Camillus de Lellis as my patron. He’s really cool, but all the saints are. But for me, I feel really drawn to him. Though, I think if I ever get to meet him in Heaven, I might have to apologize for laughing at first when I first initially came to know him. He’s a giant! 6’6" tall, and I just had a hoot imagining this guy bending over to even get inside my house.
So, care to tell your stories?
