Who Eats Christmas Cookies in Advent?

I knew I forgot something.

I used to give cookie jars away stuffed with my own home baked cookies when I was a member of the Church of Christ. The members there including the pastor were not at all bashful about their love of good food and cookies and eagerly accepted my gifts. Their eagerness was quite heartwarming for me.

Now I am going to a Catholic church whose members seem to be always on a perpetual diet. It’s almost Puritan of them I tell you.
