A direct sequel to Breath of the Wild is in the works. That will be cool.

Animal Crossing got delayed until next March. Sorry @Cruciferi.

Cadence of Hyrule has been pretty fun so far. Check it out if you like Zelda and rhythm games. It’s a pretty cool mash-up.

Enjoying this thread!

I have a new gaming computer on the way…the monitor arrived today. I haven’t played any games seriously for years! I switched to a Mac for awhile to learn its operating system and it’s pretty useless for serious gaming.

I used to love Quake, Fear and Doom. They were my stress releasers. What I’d like is some FPS games recently released that are in the same genre but will challenge my new computer. So, what’s fun? Not too complex and easy to learn? I’m much older now and the reflexes aren’t what they used to be. Recommendations?
Thanks!

I fancy EvE Online because it literally has Catholics in space.

Really, I’m not kidding. The plot is one of the founders of Amarr was a catholic bishop who got stranded in new eden and started the church of Amarr.

Old Trailer

New Trailer (warning it gets the blood going)

Depends on the game. I only have Super Smash Bros. 4 and Pokemon, but aside from them the rest don’t really have an online mode.

I’ve heard good things about the 2016 Doom game (and the upcoming one), although I haven’t played it myself. I’m not really into FPS, but I do like Overwatch quite a bit. That’s multiplayer focused though.

I like other type games, too. It’s just that I started gaming with FPS and would like to try that type first…then I’ll move on to a greater variety. I played plenty of the Final Fantasy games (obviously nothing recent) and I liked Myst. It’s just been so long that I thought I’d start with my most familiar then expand my repertoire, so to speak!

My Grandson played Overwatch but I never discussed it with him. I should do so!

Anybody here hoping deeply for a knights of the old republic 3 or even a remake of the originals?

No, I am not. There’s too many social media things for me to keep track of anymore. 😝
