We had a Vietnamese priest who is just leaving now after 14 years. He would be the most charismatic, energetic, inspirational priest I have ever met. We were blessed to have had him.

Father Richard Heilman
He is this generation’s Father Peyton. I pray for him every day that the Lord helps him to continue being a holy priest and that he doesn’t fall victim to temptations or ego. He has got the biggest Facebook following I’ve seen since Chief Oliver of Brimfield, Ohio, who fell off his pedestal pretty spectacularly.

Edited to add, regardless of what might happen in the future, Fr. Heilman has improved my prayer life 500% .

I am not going to call him a “hero” but I greatly admire Jason Evert and the work he has done with teaching youth about chastity.

Maybe not hero, but at the least influential for me:

Dr. Scott Hahn and Trent Horn. Used both of their books to start learning more about my Faith.

I am also a big fan of Pope Francis

I say Therese Martin (aka the Little Flower aka Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face). The saints really ARE more alive than we are.

Hear me out - Martin Luther. Not Catholic, but certainly heroic, in a sense.

Where would the Church be today without the counter reformation? IMO, much more corrupt and worldly. Although he kind of went off the deep end towards the end, I think he changed the Church, in the end, for the better.
