Well for one thing he ain’t living and he ain’t no Catholic hero no how.

I clearly said that he went off the deep end.

However, I would say that the Counterreformation is one of the major reasons that the Catholic Church still has the relevance and vitality it does today.

That’s a very shallow view of history that I once subscribed too.
Fact is many in the Church prior to Luther pushed for reform. Numerous dates were given to address this before Luther was even born. The problem. War. France was at war. The Holy Roman Empire was barely holding off the Ottomans in Austria.
The only reason the Reformation succeeded was because the people who would have normally have thwarted it and addressed it prior to it having spread like a plague was the fact that war had caused anxiety on the people in power and the Holy See for that matter.
Many saints have been critical of how the Church was doing things. Look at Catherine of Siena and her letters condemning the popes living in Avignon. The Church is always in need to be open to reform. However a revolution against it and destroying Christianity from being well one Church with of course a few in schism like the Orthodox , to thousands. And most today view the Church like it’s just another denomination as if it doesn’t even matter what you are. That’s a sad consequence of the Reformation.

Again, I said that luther went off the deep end.

However, his original intentions were good.

Bishop Athanasius Schneider, Cardinals Sarah and Burke to be sure. But, I especially love the efforts of the many holy women of the cloistered community. The Discalced Carmelites, the Poor Clares and the like who spend countless hours before the Blessed Sacrament in prayer. They just may be the glue that’s holding the Church together in these confusing times we’re in at this time.

Every living “saint” has a FUTURE, don’t BOAST
about the victories one has won lest he/she falls!!
1 Cor. 10:12, that’s why sainthood is granted only
POSThumously! There is a DANGER in putting
living ppl on a pedestal, what if they fall into
heresy or apostasy, what will happen to YOUR
Faith?

Sky aka Daisy Johnson aka Quake is my hero! She is very bad. (as in really good!!) I’m not certain if she’s Catholic or not, though. She might be?

In case someone wants to complain…she does have a soft side to her, and she only messes people up if they are evil and doing or planning to do serious harm to innocents.
