Who is the One Jesus said is the ONLY true God?

I mean- we are talking about the very words of CHRIST!
Not WTBS!
“You, the ONLY true God!”

And you call me a “heretic” because I actually BELIEVE him???

That strawman hasn’t become more effective since the last time you used it. No one is saying following Christ’s words is heresy. Your interpretation of them, however, is heresy.

Then ENLIGHTEN me!
By “Only”, did Jesus mean “Several”?

But you interpret things as you wish. For example, I wrote yesterday on the Book of Revelation on how God said, “I am the Alpha and the Omega…”, then Jesus said “I am the beginning and the end…” and then you responded with both God and Jesus are kings, etc.

If I, who is obviously not God, instead a mere mortal, said, “I am the beginning and the end…”, I am nothing short of a wicked man and a blasphemer, plain and simple.

So, Jesus is given the Power and Authority that only God had had- and there is no similarity?
What do you think he is the “beginning” and “end” of, anyway?

“Given the power that only God had”…

Then please tell me, what else can Jesus be, if only God had the power?

There is only one God, and He is three Persons. I think your hang-up is on the persons. Admittedly, Trinitarian theology is the most central yet the most complex doctrine in all of Christianity. And I don’t claim to understand it perfectly. But acting like Christians believe in three gods despite being told otherwise on multiple occasions is disingenuous.

Could he have POSSIBLY have been God’s SON?
Is that to heretical to say?
Nothing heretical about that, but that does not disprove that Jesus, as Son of God, is also God. For that we have to look elsewhere.

In like fashion, I am the son of [wada wada wada] [blah blah blah], but that doesn’t disprove that I am also a [blah blah blah].

Not quite the same analogy, as my father and I do not coexist, but it is similar enough.

No it’s not. I wish someone with a good concept on what persons are can explain it.

Because I truly believe that Christ established a Church 2000 years ago and promised that the gates of Hell would not prevail against it. Christ – God – is the head of my Church. I believe that Christ gave this Church the fullness of truth and that His Church can never leave me into falsehood. I trust the Church because she cannot be wrong. If the Church is wrong, then Christianity is a lie. I believe that Church is One. I believe she is holy. I believe she is catholic. I believe she is apostolic. I believe that Church is the Catholic Church with Francis as her Pope.

Did Jesus Christ exist before the creation of the world, or no?
Yer- he was the first being God created/brought to life.
Son, only-begotten, firstborn of all creation, beginning of the creation of God.
Then God later made all things THROUGH him, and even FOR him.

Son, only-begotten, firstborn of all creation, beginning of the creation of God.
I could be misunderstanding you, but if he’s the beginning of creation, then he is created. He is therefore not begotten, but is made.

When we “make” babies, they are BORN.
GOD is no one’s son, firstborn, nor part of creation- Jesus is, according to scripture- NOT men’s theology.

Col 1:12- giving thanks unto the Father, who made us meet
to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light;
13- who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated
us into the kingdom of the Son of his love;
14- in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins:
15- who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

Rev 3:14- And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write:
These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness,
the beginning of the creation of God…

I’m referring to Jesus. If Jesus is the beginning of creation like you say, then he was created, and thus made, not begotten.
