Is there anything that Mohamed (alleged to have) taught we Christians should know that we missed?

MJ
Yes, which is that there is no diety worthy of worship except God Almighty, the Creator of Heavens and Earth. God Who cannot be born, and cannot die, and Who is Perfect and does not need earthly things to survive.

Jesus taught the same of course, but when Christians went astray, there was a need for Islam and the Quran and Prophet Mohammed.

None of that actually represents anything Christians teach.

Again, how do we know that Muslims will not or have not already gone astray?

Don’t blame us…according to Islam it was God who deceived the people, tricking them to think it was Jesus on the cross when it was really someone else 🤷

God bless,

As a Christian, this is where we connect with our brothers and sisters who practice the Muslim and Jewish faith.

I am trying to read through all of the posts and the information that is provided is good and thank you to all who have participated.

Which brings me to ask who is the Holy Spirit to Muslims and Jews?

May you find Peace in God

Exactly. Meantime against popular Muslim sentiment there are learned Muslims who also know that Christians believe in One God.

we tell his is one God ,AND IN THE MEANTIME we ask the son alone sometimes and the father alone in othertimes and we tell that the father has sacrificed his son whose the son we’re talking about ? that is what make me all the time so confused

Well I don’t know exactly where it’s mentioned but His arrival was mentioned by Jesus Himself. Bibles have been changed so many times that it’s very much possible that anything about Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) might have been omitted from the new scriptures

Seems awkward a newly-registered, “Catholic” person would say something like that, including “s.a.w.”. The Bible has been proven to be the most accurate document from ancient times, with no important changes. I know I cannot prove it, but somehow I guess we have a person with two accounts here, in a desperate attempt to convert somebody. Just a guess.

Definitely not trying to convert anyone and i added (s.a.w) deliberately…! Are only catholics allowed to be on this website? If yes then sorry I didn’t know the rules. And i told you what I’ve read in the old scriptures. Won’t provide wrong knowledge, neither do i intend to convert anyone

Sorry if it offended you as i wasn’t trying to offend anyone here… can’t delete my comment or i would have

I never said only Catholics were allowed to use the site. However, why do you name yourself Catholic, if you obviously aren’t?

“Old Scriptures”? Funny, nobody but you seems to know them.

Look, I don’t want to be unfriendly to anyone or offensive. But that post is reeeeeeally suspicious. I won’t go further in to the Muslim doctrine of deliberately deceiving people of other faiths. Just a thought.

When did i name myself as a catholic? Well anyway, i don’t wanna get into this discussion either as i am new here and my purpose is definitely not to convert anyone into anything. I saw a comment up there of someone who stated that the learned Muslims know that christians believe in One God like them. That made me to comment. No offense as i said earlier and you have every right to believe whatever you wish but so do i !!! So my comments shouldn’t bother you…

It says up in your description. I don’t want to take your right to anything away, dear friend. I only wanted to note that the circumstances are most suspicious. I will not comment any further on this, as it is going off-topic and we don’t want that, do we?

Salam Alaikum,

My friend it sounds like you have been brainwashed with false Islamic propaganda in regards to the prophecies about Mohammed and the fabrication of the bible.

Can you please give an example of the bible being significantly changed that would lead one to believe that anything about Mohammed had been omitted?

God bless,

drfye and Bezant already answered the question as well as it could be answered.

Two other sets of comments are interesting in that they speak on Mohammed in a way that would be insulting to Catholics and other Christians if turned on Christ (as it often is).

Christ *allegedly *lived six centuries before Mohammed.

*People **claim *Jesus is the son of God, and that he rose from the dead.

While Jesus is generally believed to be real, there are many today who *question *the *stories *about him and his existence in general. Some of his alleged claims put him at odds with Judaism.

Most Christians don’t like this language used about Jesus. It would seem to me to be good practice not to use it about others’ religions. I wonder if this is a reasonable approach to answering the question at hand? I wonder if pointing this issue out on my part is perhaps itself sinful, insofar as it may separate me from God somehow. Alternatively, to let it go when I suspect it’s unnecessarily uncharitable might also be sinful. I don’t know.
Hello Jocko,

As a “waivering atheist”, you should probably waiver closer to catholicism. Those things pertaining to Jesus- are not allegations. Jesus Christ is the one, true Lord and God of all. No amount of dissertation or worldly reasoning is ever going to change that.

Muhammed in his time was considered a heretic by both Judaism and Christianity. His “philosophy and teachings” were an abbreviation or over-simplification of both religions…topped with “there is only one god”. However, if the god that he and Islam preaches is not the God of Abraham, the God of Jacob and the God of Issac…then it’s a false god just as he is a false prophet.

Jesus Christ is the one, true Lord and God of all and- His prophet was St. John the Baptist. No greater prophet exists and no one is “like unto God”.

You labeled your self Catholic upon signing up. There is a parameter when you create your profile and it asks “religion”. It is obviously that you type in Catholic as your religion status.

You should go back into your profile and change your religion status to Islam.

There are Three Persons in One God. We call them Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe this through Divine Revelation that the Lord gave us, and the divinely appointed authority of the Church, which we call the Magisterium.

You proclaim yourself a Catholic. If you have further questions you can ask your priest.

Blessings to you!
