143- And when Moses arrived at Our appointed time and his Lord spoke to him, he said, “My Lord, show me [Yourself] that I may look at You.” Allah ] said, “You will not see Me, but look at the mountain; if it should remain in place, then you will see Me.” But when his Lord appeared to the mountain, He rendered it level, and Moses fell unconscious. And when he awoke, he said, “Exalted are You! I have repented to You, and I am the first of the believers.” Al-A’raf(7):143Hasantas, I am interested in where you picked up the “mirror image” analogy you mention above. Is it in the Quran or Hadith anywhere at all please?
Thankyou
.
There is no such term in Qur’an and Hadith. That is something Islamic scholars define by analogy.
The issue God to be being seen is controversial. Sunnah scholars say that it is impossible to see Allah directly on the world. But human can see God through “tacalli” (being manifestation). Tacalli means being seen(appeared) in such way. God had appeared to the mountain so we can assume the mountain as a mirror. God’s life appear on the body of alives so bodies are to be some kind of mirror for God’s tacalli.
Believers will be able to see God in Heavens but we cannot grasp the property of it now.
