Apologetics is defense of the faith. Defend wherever the attacks come fromCS Lewis and Thomas Aquinas
Agree that Ravi rocks!
Amongst modern Roman Catholics, only Peter Kreeft.
A really interesting question for posters here: why is modern Roman Catholic apologetics focused on defending the ideosyncratic Roman beliefs (Marian devotion, etc.), whereas Evangelical and Protestant apologetics (e.g. Josh McDowell, CS Lewis) is focused on defending Christianity in general?

I have never read Chesterton’s apologetics books, but I did read his Father Brown mysteries, and actually did a research paper on them for my English Lit. class. I’ll have to pick up some of his apologetics works. Which do you recommend? I might try Hillaire Belloc as well, since he and Chesterton were contemporaries. Why isn’t G.K. Chesterton on your list? Tsk, tsk.
I must put these names before your list;:
St. Jerome
St. Ignatious of Antioch
St. Cyril of Jerusalem
St. John Chysostom
St. Vincent of Lerins
Who are Robert Morey and Ron Rhodes? I like the others you have listed, especially Ravi Zacharias (he’s one of my favourites). I also like Josh McDowell.

Perhaps that is because a lot of evangelicals don’t regard Catholicism as Christian, and hence, attacking Catholic beliefs to them is equivalent to “defending” Christianity in general.CS Lewis and Thomas Aquinas

Thanks for the links. I really like Ron Rhodes’ website. I noticed he even has Catholic links on his site to disprove the Freemasonry cult.Ron Rhodes: ronrhodes.org/
He is less prominent as well, having first come to view as a guest-host on the Bible Answerman after the death of Walter Martin and before the ascension of Hank Hanegraaff. He is much more scholarly and reserved than Morey.
Scott Hahn wins hands down. Christopher West OK for theology of the body. Marcus Grodi. Karl Keating.Who are your favorite Catholic Apologists?
My favorites are:
I read most of the books and audio from these Apologists, and they strength my faith.

Who are your favorite Apologists? Catholic or Protestant.
Ron Rhodes has a book out called “Reasoning from the Scriptures with Catholics” which happens to be a very superficial view and apologetic against Roman Catholicsm. He is very easy to refute for any amatuer Catholic apologetics, like myself, would like to understand a superficial view on how non Catholic Christians view us and our beliefs.
