Can Father Mitch celebrate the Divine Liturgy? I have heard that he’s bi-ritual. O:

Memaw,

I understood fully well what you are trying to say. You and I also can give homilies, and what we are going to say will also be equally important. And NO, I am not absorbing the wrong thing. I have a mind of my own, I’ve read the Scriptures inside out and we have Bible studies often. What I am trying to say is, IT IS EMBARRASSING THAT I HAVE TO TURN TO OTHER STATIONS to be able to get a good dose of the word of God, because my own religion and its bearers of God’s wisdom are simply not getting the message across to people that the faith is trying to attract and invite back./QUOTE.

No, you and I can’t give Homilies, only an ordained priest or Deacon can do that. Its clear you do have a mind of your own but sometimes that can lead you into the wrong things. A little humility goes a long way, especially when it come to loving our Faith. God’s will is more important than our stubborn will. Leaving the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Faith would be a huge mistake. How could you walk away from the Holy Eucharist??? I don’t think this is the post to be discussing these things but maybe you could get on another one or start one yourself to get some help. Prayers & God Bless, Memaw

My favourites are Fr. Mitch Pacwa, Fr. Robert Barron, Fr. Anthony Mary, Fr. Joseph Mary, Fr. Mark Mary, Fr. Thomas Dubay, Archbishop Fulton Sheen and Fr. William Casey

My favorite priest is not listed.

I don’t think he is an EWTN priest though.

I like Father Robert Spitzer. He is the host of the program “The Heavens Declare” which can be seen in EWTN.

He and I share the same passion for astronomy. It was the study of astronomy which brought me from unbelief to belief. Plus during the early days of my career and when I was an atheist I happened to meet several astronomers who were devout Christians. Some were Protestant and some were Catholic.

Come to think of it most of the scientists I’ve met were devout Christians.

Though they were not on the list, the single best Mass celebrant I have ever seen on EWTN is Fr. Wade Menezes, CPM, the best homilist/speaker, Fr. Bill Casey, CPM.

Fr. Wade’s Masses seem almost as if they would have to be choreographed by the Holy Spirit, they are that beautiful. If there is a stronger, more forceful speaking priest than Fr. John Corapi, SOLT, it would be Fr. Bill Casey, CPM.
Second Fr. Wade Menezes! 👍 Of the regulars, Fr. Mitch Pacwa. 👍

I like them all pretty much, some more than others…

as noted in other posts some of my faves aren’t listed…

Father Wade Menezes
Father Spitzer
Father Barron

I don’t think Corapi should be on the list… he left the Priesthood…

Groeschel… I dunno, is the jury still out on him?

Sorry to admit but I would need pictures with the Mary names… all those Mary’s get me confused…

Fr. Groeschel stepped down as the host of Sunday Night Prime in September.

Not sure why, but EWTN radio pulled his daily programs at the same time.

Evidently over some remarks made about the minor being the seducer in some sex abuse cases. This according to CNA

here is the link

Fr Barron!- He is awesome!!!:cool::o:o:o:o:o:o

I really think that once anyone hears Father Bill Casey, there is NO contest. This man is truly gifted and his latest CD. The Priest is a Marked Man, is just incredible. I can’t ever remember being as awestruck by a priest as I have been by Father Casey. He is also on YouTube as well as the Fathers of Mercy webpage.👍

Does anyone know who the African American priest who has been saying mass this week is? He’s been on, as far as I know, doing the homilies, since Monday 2/4/13…Wow, he has been giving some awesome homilies. He is young, black, and about 225, and very charismatic!!!

I believe that’s Deacon Harold Burke Sivers. Here he is on EWTN Live: youtube.com/watch?v=YRhTmOAh4pk

How many MFVA priest are there?

I count seven:

Fr. Joseph Mary
Fr. Anthony Mary
Fr. Mark Mary
Fr. Miguel Marie
Fr. Dominic Mary
Fr. Leonard Mary
Fr. Patrick Mary

If you count the three who left the order…Fr. Agustin Mary Hedderman who is now a diocesan priest in the Diocese of Birmingham and the former Fr. Francis Mary and the former Fr. John Mary (both of whom left the priesthood). There have been eight MFVA priests (six of whom are still priests: Frs. Joseph, Anthony, Mark, Miguel, Dominic Patrick and Leonard and Fr. Hedderman.).
