There are several I Iike. I’d choose Jim Anderson (Father Knows Best). He prayed with his family in one episode. Don’t watch much tv anymore, so I guess family prayer is out in today’s tv shows.

I like Allan from boy meets world. Yes theirs not much talk about God but the way he’s there for his kids to me is the best father in tv

Tough One.

Gotta love Tim" the Tool Man" Taylor, Carl Winslow, and Dr. Huxtable. 🙂

And who could forget Howard Cunningham (aka Mr. C)?

“Richard…” 😛

Jed Bartlett on West Wing. Yes, the character was POTUS, but I love the show and he was a dad. Not orthodox Catholic, I know, but good entertainment.

Tough question. Lots of great ones pointed out already.

Some good ones that weren’t mentioned yet: Eric Camden (7th Heaven), George Lopez (The George Lopez Show), Cliff Huxtable (The Cosby Show), Danny Tanner (Full House), Mike Brady (The Brady Bunch).

Not sure if I can pick just one favorite, it would probably be between Eric Camden, Carl Winslow or George Lopez. All of them were dedicated to their families and had a kind heart, their other strengths varied a bit.

There are so many, but I’d pick Ward Cleaver from Leave it to Beaver, played by Hugh Beaumont.

(Not only was he an actor, but he had a Masters of Theology degree and was licensed to preach by the Methodist church. A good guy both on and off the screen.)

He’s the only one for me!

I liked him too. Beaver was always worried about getting “clobbered” but Ward was strict, but gentle at the same time.

little house on the prairie mentioned above was a good show, and the other one he did about the angel was good as well, always positive and showing for a good role model.

I would have to agree with the dad from father knows best. I also liked the dad from the rifleman.
