Besides the Blessed Mother, St. Joseph would be my favorite. St. Anne and St. Agnes are also very close to my heart.

I credit St. Joseph’s intercession for the gift of my husband. St. Anne and St. Agnes have been my friends since I was very small. Our Blessed Mother is definitely a loving mother.

The Blessed Virgin Mary is my favorite saint and I have the strongest devotion to her. I have a few other favorite saints including St. Michael, St. Patrick, St. Padre Pio and St. Benedict.

Saint Bernadette Soubirous. The grotto at Lourdes is where my journey to the Catholic faith began. From there, it accelerated rapidly. Am absolutely convinced that the patron Saint of bodily illness has sustained me through 11 years and three simultaneous cancers.

I’m not a catholic, but I admire St. Francis of Assisi. He loved animals, which I can relate to.

My Confirmation saint is Joan of Arc. From early on, after reading her biography, I truly admired her and still do. A very courageous lady, for being as young as she was.

Mary. However, my patron Saint is , Eugène de Mazenod, Who is the patron of dysfunctional families. I also have a bit of a Devotion to venerable Aloysius Schwartz, not because of what he did, so much, but because he had ALS, and so did my father.

Saint June of Livonia, because I was fortunate to witness her Holy life.

Saint Augustine. I got to know him through his Confessions, which is so honest and painfully human as well as being intellectually brilliant. He’s an inspiration and I’ve asked him for his intercession a couple of times - I’m sure he has prayed for me.

TL:DR Saint Augustine is an absolute dude.

I have several favorites.
  1. Therese of Lusieux
  2. Louis-Marie de Montfort
  3. Padre Pio
  4. Peter Julian Eymard
I love them all. May add more later.

St. Jude has been a lifelong favorite because his powerful intercession has been a tremendous help to me since childhood and is ultimately one of the reasons I am a Catholic today.

St. Jude, Ora pro nobis.

St. Ignatius of Loyola because of his submission to authorities above him and his perfect obedience.

St. John the Apostle, my confirmation Saint because of how he hasn’t failed to perceive love.

St. Martin, one I share name with but that is probably because I would ask for his intercession often.

Pope St. Gregory the Great, because of how he handled being under authority while deacon but also how he handled having authority- never denying his powers yet never denying respect to other Patriarchs, Bishops and people in general.

St. John Henry Newman, because he always wanted to discover truth and never stopped despite proving himself being wrong before.

and many martyrs for giving their life for Christ, Church and Truth. I especially feel inclined to those who supported Papacy or Catholic Truth against heresies.

but there are probably more, and I am always thrived to learn about new Saints who all can and do inspire me.

So many, but my two favourite that I can’t do without are Mary and Joseph. They are my daily saints and then others are my regular saints especially the Little Flower and St Theresa of Avila, oh and also St John of the cross and St Frances de Sales, Titus Brandsma and St Augustine. The ladies I really identify with and the men really are for keeping me in line and making me think. I love St Therese’ little way as it’s something I can follow, well we all can. Oh and lastly I really love St Elizabeth of the Trinity but I’ve only just begun reading up on her which is very exciting.

My all time favorite saint is Saint Teresa of Calcutta:) I love her story and the fact that her faith remained so strong even and she was so faithful to Christ even in spiritual darkness. She is my role model when it comes to learning to see Christ in everyone amongst other reasons. I just admire her never ending desire to help others and like I said to always see Christ in everyone.

  1. Our Lady
  2. St. Clare
    3.St. Therese
  3. St. Paul
  4. St. Monica
  5. St. Mary Magdalen
  6. St. Michael

I became attracted to St. Benedict about 30 years ago, before I retired from construction work. Reading Thomas Merton in my 20s first led me to St. Benedict, and I discovered the rich Benedictine legacy, including the Camaldolese and the Cistercians. The Holy Rule of St. Benedict, the structure, the balance of work and prayer (and rest), and the emphasis on moderation I found to be a very useful guide all my life.

Is there a particular Saint
Francis of Assisi. His love of animals and the natural world are very much like my own. Besides, he’s the only one of the Catholic saints for whom it seems to be acceptable to have a statue of in my house, so I have two; garden and bedroom. 🙂
