What is to be sick of.
Regardless the intent of joining the forum, there will be a great deal learned about the Catholic church and the people in it.
And for many, that is all they need to decide to come home to the church.

For others, they are pushed further away…because they feel we are ‘sick of it’
They can go in Evangelization or Apologetics, though. The Traditional forum is for people asking about the Latin Mass (Tridentine) and related questions.

Sorry that I don’t sound very Catholic to you and you sir do not sound very Christian to me. I am a Christian first and a Catholic second. But above all I belong to Jesus. And your question to the Eucharistic meal, how do they not?
I was sort of raised a Catholic more less than anything. When I was older much older I had a great experience and joined a Pretestant Church.Am happy with my walk with Jesus now and then. I decided about 9 years ago to return to the Church of my childhood and I am still happy. The Church doesn’t make me happy or sad, it is my relationship with Jesus and if you don’t understand well I don’t understand you either and have no desire to! Like I said before if I wasn’t a Catholic you have done plenty for mr to decide not to.If I do not sound like a Catholic you do not sound like a Christian:shrug: Above all I love Jesus and am very greatful for all He has done for me.
I see in you how the Catechism has failed many cradle Catholics.

To say one is Christian before being Catholic shows a complete lack of teaching in the Catechism. No wonder God has so many converts to Catholicism. It needs new blood to strengthen Her.

It should be obvious to all that have the basics of the Catechism that remarks like this show an apparent lack of education.

So it is not my lack of understanding but your lack of education as a Catholic.

And remarks like you make have a complete lack of Christian love. But you know what I could care a big rats $@#$## how you percieve me. You know just because you go to Church doesn’t make you a Christian just like being in a garage does:shrug:n’t make you a car

Ahh - the discussion is supposed to be about who Catholics think leads the Protestants? THat should be easy, just see what the CCC says. Or maybe what Catholics think Protestants think? I am not sure why that would be entirely useful, but why not. Some have a decent grasp, though there certainly seem to others that have some strange ideas about Protestant theology.
I retrack my judgemental remark and see that this is addressed to the Catholics.
But of course I would expect for a protestant to join in. Sorry if I am not welcoming. It seems like a trivia question. It idn’t seem that important but I am wrong, not the first time , as it has created quite a stir.

In my protestant days, it seemed just the Spirit and of course JesusChrist, this is a good answer but my more complete answer: The Father Son and Holy Spirit as through the Church.

I was always just kind of flying around before as the Spirit in the wind blowing just here and there. As coming back to the Catholic church which sometimes I just say Church because it means the same to me, now I feel grounded not like a hot air- balloon flying around. I’m sure if Jesus had access to a balloon he would have used one. Just a little bit of humor 🙂

I do get a bit off the hand:( and foot and mouth :blush:some I wonder why?

But what is protestant theology? But maybe that should go on the non-C forum. which is actually a Christian forum.

I am a Christian first and a Catholic second.
With apparently much to learn about Catholicism.
One cannot be ‘Catholic second.’

The perfect expression of Christianity is Catholicism.

The incompatibility implied in your placement of second place to the Catholic faith does not exist.

Such hatred found in remarks as these often show the true colors of those that have written them.
Apologies if it rubs some the wrong way to have a lack of understanding pointed out, but the attempted seperation of Catholic and Christian makes the lack of understanding stand out like a sore thumb.

And remarks like yours show the true colors of being judgemental. I do get angry when people judge because one does not agree. I heard a very great Homily on this very subject yesterday at Mass. 👍

Perhaps you have heard great homilies given on Judgement.
But that is not the case here.
One need make no judgement upon the obvious.

There is no seperation to be gleaned from Catholic and Christian such as implied in earlier posts.
Those that believe there is are very obviously incorrect as to what they believe Catholicism is.

I have heard Great Homolies on judgement and they are all very fitting here>

The One Holy Catholic and Apostolic church is the Body of Christ in Heaven and earth. If you are not part of this Catholic Body then how can one be Christian? They go hand in hand.

When we say the Nicene Creed during Mass we are saying this is what we believe.

I am providing a couple of links for you:

You say you are Catholic so you have a responsiblity to yourself and those around you to know what that means.
I AM Catholic and I already know what it means!!! But THANK YOU EVER so much for you need to be perfect. Maybe you need to read Mark 9:38-41.:tiphat:

How can one understand what it means and at the same time question the need for it?
I was asking you not me I need to read these because you think so. Guess you don’t get it oh well such be!🤷

I was asking you not me I need to read these because you think so.
No, you should read and understand because they are basic to the Catholic faith.

If you do not wish to read and/or understand, that is fine by me.
But you should not be so thin-skinned when people call you on lack of knowledge of the religion you claim to hold.

Did I say I did not read them? You certainlly assuming a lot and Brother I am not thin skinned. Did I say I did not understand them? Once again that is your assuming and you know what that means:thumbsup: And I am so glad that you are so knowledgeable that you know and think properly, thank you once again for your being such a perfect example of Christian love:hmmm:

No assumptions were made.
just observation based upon the posts.
Clearly there is a lack of understanding of the Catholic Faith.
Clearly there appears to be a hyper-sensitivity to attention being called to this (as evidenced by the posts).
Did I say I did not understand them?
No, you did not say that.
You demonstrated it.

Well, I wouldn’t say I am that knowledgable.
I read plenty, and try to understand what I can.
But I will graciously and humbly accept your compliment.
Thank you.

It wasn’t meant as a compliment. I am not hyper- sensitive to anything you say I know what I know so as I said before you assume anything look in the mirror:thumbsup:

What always amuses me is how they are not concerned about the number of Protestant sects. I simply can’t understand how anyone can interpret that as being God’s will.
Why would that concern someone if they believed theirs was right and the others were wrong?

Protestant sects are also Christian sects. Are you worried about them as a Christian?
