I love all types of art but yes, there are some bad comic artists out there.Rob Liefield isn’t very talented and oh my gosh what on earth IS that abomination?!!For me, a good example of that would be some of Jo Chen’s art of Runaways. The characters look like they’re straight out of a Square-Enix game.
Now if only they had the entire series drawn that way. I’ll definitely buy it alongside manga. >w<

Oh. Oh! That looks painful. Tsk, tsk, steroids :tsktsk:. Then there are artists like Greg Land who literally just trace off of pornogaphy and magazines. His art is a sight to behold it is so horrible.
However, there are TONS of very good comic book artists out there. Brian Bolland, Dave Gibbons, Todd McFarlane (you can say he is Rob Liefiel done right although as a creator, he’s talentless), Jim Lee and Alex Ross. Seriously, look at Brian Bolland’s work. Just, look at it:
img11.hostingpics.net/pics/290189brian_bolland_batman_GK_04.jpg Tell me that doesn’t make your jaw drop. Its sad LW that you don’t like comic books very much. If you pick the right books, ou won’t have to skim through wikipedia to know the full story because superheero mythology is rather complicated. Hell, after Avatar the Last airbender, the Batman mythos is lsited as the most trope overdosed page on TV Tropes. Although seriously, the Dark Knight of the comics and the animated series from the 90’s is SOO much more diffirent and appealing than the Dark Knight of the Nolan or Burton films. He’s less pretentious.
