Fate/Zero is an epic show, and if you aren’t watching it, you’re missing out. 'Nuff said.

I personally don’t want to watch it. But I think Sylvester might.

Me on the other hand, I seriously don’t want my moe mixed with gore. Nuuu!! Nu-uh! Nevaaaar!! >o<
According to TV Tropes:

*Compare Neon Genesis Evangelion, Bokurano, Narutaru, Alien Nine, Princess Tutu, and Digimon Tamers for similar top-down, no-holds-barred dark and edgy abstract works. See Revolutionary Girl Utena for the original Magical Girl (and then some) Deconstruction. Definitely contrast Cardcaptor Sakura, which serves as the show’s most obvious antecedent.

Compare and contrast Claymore, Elfen Lied, Lyrical Nanoha and Black★Rock Shooter which feature similar cases of specialized women fighting for survival.*

Well, I’ll finish Ah! My Goddess and Higurashi then I’m definitely watching this, it sounds good! Hey, its not because I like moe. In fact, talking about Elfen Lied, isn’t it a bit, you know, wrong to think a girl is cute because she is mentally handicapped, in this case referring to Nyu? Just saying. But yes, Nyu is cute: youtube.com/watch?v=j-N3iwd9GAE Sorry for the poor video quality.

After that, I’m watching FullMetal Achemist Brotherhood, Durarara!, Baccano!, Yumekui Merry, and possibly Bakuman as it sounds interesting. Also, I hear that a certain anime claled Sayonara Zetsoubou Sensei is rather good but from what I’ve read and the opening intro,it looks pretty NSFW. What do you guys think? I watched a clip from the show called dramatic moments and it was HILARIOUS.

As a fan of magical girl shows when I was younger, some of the scenes were just TERRIFYING! The subbed version is on Crunchyroll, if you don’t mind reading.

Also, DON’T READ THE TV TROPES PAGE UNTIL YOU’VE WATCHED ALL OF IT! IT SPOILS LIKE CRAZY!

Is it me, or does Black Rock Shooter look more like a cross-dressing guy than a young woman?

I really enjoyed Princess Tutu, and didn’t think it was really dark or edgy. I enjoyed the German fairy tale in a Japanese anime, and the concept of the story and real life being inter mixed. Indeed, I thought the similarities to Card captor Sakura (actually the kids version in the US Cardcaptors) were very pronounced, though Princess Tutu was a little ‘deeper’ conceptually, at least from what I remember of Cardcaptors.👍

My concern is in the clothing, not so much on the figure. She wears extra-skimpy clothing. I know that Kuroi Mato is around 15, but I have no idea about BRS.
As for the figure of BRS, I tend to poke fun at it, not to sound mean of course.

She’s a girl all right and I find her a very pretty one at that. 😛 Frankly, I actually find busty women more intimidating than attractive. >_>

That’s what I like about her design. She’s a very light-footed character despite her large weapon and her clothes show it. Sure some complain about skimpiness but I personally find that hard to focus in a sexual manner when she shows herself capable of turning you into a smoking crater.

The same could be said about other BRS characters who can:
  1. Slice and serve you to skeleton minions.
  2. Clobber you with the force of four steel fists.
  3. Chop you in half (along with the ground underneath you).
  4. Give you Death by Giant Macaroons (not joking here).

I find flat-chested women unattractive. Very unattractive. In fact, some have used BRS as a sexual fetish, and that deeply disturbs me!

I tend to imagine her going one-on-one with Tallgeese from SD Gundam Force. Guess who wins? 😃

I don’t think she’s that flat-chested. She’s much closer to average actually, given her age. Then again, what the heck. Stuff like this just really boils down to taste. :o

I’m betting on her actually, given how fast she is. That and Otherworld physics tend to follow her wherever she goes.

Well, she looks as if she has a flat chest. I once jested that she should be renamed “Flat Rock Shooter”. 😛 Happily, huke (the guy who did the original BRS character illustrations) has made his most famous character. 😃

I’m betting on Tallgeese because he is really good at swordsmanship and magic. 😃
Hmmm, if one were to make a crossover between BB Senshi Sangokuden Brave Battle Warriors and SD Gundam Force, I’ll see Tallgeese on a horse. 😃

Let me say a few quick things: first, I’m not a fan of BRS. Managed to get a copy of the OVA that shipped with the Megami magazine a while back. Was excited to see what the hype was about, but when I sat down to watch it, I kept thinking to myself “this is it?”.

Anyways, this feels like a strange subject to discuss, but I never really cared about the flat-chested thing with her–or any character really. Just not my “thing” to do, I guess.

Also, if a girl can turn me into a crater, it makes me want to be careful what I say, or think, about her. 😛

Lo, can we stop with the flat chestedgirls discussion? Its getting rather creepy…

I actually felt the same way. The anime is only slightly better in terms of explaining what the Otherworld actually is. Alas it was only about 8 episodes long.

Ultimately though, I really would like it if they made a sequel. I want those five girls teaming up against something!! DX

P.S.

Oh yeah, I think I’ll try to watch Tower of Druaga this weekend. It’s been a while since I indulged in anime fantasy.

Once all my school work gets settled and I’ve caught upon my backlog, I think it’s time to watch Birdy the Mighty: Decode again.

Okay, Gundams versus Strike Witches. Any thoughts? (Not as in series vs series, but mechs versus the characters)
