KyoAni’s new Anime (Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!) is coming in October. It’s written by Key Visual Art’s and animated by Kyoto Animation (K-ON).
Plot Summary: High school freshman Yūta Togashi was once a “chūnibyō patient” i.e. an overly self-conscious middle schooler. He wants to bury this embarrassing past and begins a new life in high school – unsuccessfully. His classmate Rikka Takanashi, a “current” chūnibyō patient, has found traces of residual symptoms on him and used the fact to force Togashi “making a contract” with her.

Hayate the Combat Butler (the anime and manga that made me realize the true value of friendship, being a nice guy and having friends instead of being a jerkass pretending to work alone).
It’s also an Anime and Manga that have a lucky and unlucky protagonist that is indecisive 😃

Hey you’re not CindyMoon1985LULZ …? Just kidding. Obviously a dig at the guys playing as girl avatars in the SAO.
I find the idea of a guy playing as a girl in a MMORPG to be weird at best. o:

MrSylvester, One Piece is hardly a good anime. I’ve seen it and it wasn’t as good as people claim.

Then don’t take them off. Real life people also have cast-offable parts, just don’t remove them and you’ll be fine, unless for medical reasons - the person’s drenched in organophosphate insecticide or you’re married and want to have a kid.
But of course! That’s the only way I display them. The only time I take the parts off is if I’m cleaning or packing them and need to. Stuff like that.

I just don’t find any reason why they should be displayed otherwise.

Speaking of Key, I’m really looking forward to the new Little Busters! anime based on their visual novel(s).

Previews here: litbus-anime.com/special/movie.html

That, the new Hayate, and Robotics;Notes are the shows I’m most looking forward to this Fall.

Also, Psycho-Pass, because Gen Urobuchi.

By the way, is One Piece really that good? It looks interesting but not my cup of tea. What about Naruto?
Well seeing as how I’m the only one who proudly calls himself CAF’s resident Naru-tard, I would say it is indeed very good. It’s just pretty long but the story seems surprisingly consistent despite that length.

One Piece on the other hand, has a good story but the art is… well, sad.

One Piece had just gone down the drain.

Naruto is good, but it has a lot of rabid fans.

Yes, yes, of course.

But still did you see the little preview clip for this anime?

I think most seinen or is it shounen, I can’t tell the difference, anime have that type of character. A loser guy - who is surrounded by women whom he can’t shake off. What torture the poor character goes through to obtain an ounce of freedom, I tell ya.

But you didn’t deny it, so it must have been you!!! 🙂

I think that picking a female character need not be weird, in the sense that watching a film or reading a book from the POV of a other-gender character is not weird. That character isn’t really YOU but “someone” you control and someone you want to succeed. What’s more noble than having a weaking, waif defeat the biggest monsters and beat the odds?

Cute factor is too low in Naruto. More saccharin is needed. 😉

I tried that before, but when I was playing Rush On Seven Episodes online, I was basically trying something with female characters. Something clean and sane. 🙂
Nah, I was only kidding. I think this caption sums up very nicely what real life women would think of one playing as a female character. And no, that’s not the reason at all.

Something clean and sane, eh?

Ok then. Agree about the art in One Piece, it’s, not my cup of tea even though it is still very well drawn. Also, don’t feel bad about being some Naru-tard or something. Feel bad only when you like something like Twilight or Shades of Grey, that would be shameful! Again, since you are such a shonen fan (I am too honestly), I rally, really suggest you read Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple. It truly is the only manga that matches Rurouni Kenshin in feel and quality and while it is long and still ongoing at 480 chapters, it NEVER drags. Ever. There was literally like 1 filler chapter in the entire series and even then it managed to be genuinely funny. Really, I can’t praise this series enough!

I actually create my own female characters with this mindset. When it comes to my main though, it has to be a guy. It’s just not really a gender thing. boldly declares It’s about being true to my innermost self!!

I love Naruto. The characters are extremely compelling. Although I prefer the manga to the anime (even if the anime is what introduced me to the series).

I couldn’t read One Piece at all because of the art. :\ Bleh.
