Currently added a new series to my current watching list.

Magi - It’s cute but it gets tiresome when the author starts digging into politics and metaphysics.

Shinki Busou - Cute. Just cute. TwT
 
I just saw the movie Cabin in the Woods. Man, it was better than I thought it was going to be. It was just hilarious. I loved all the jokes and all the parodying of horror cliches and the concept was INGENUIS. Telling more would spoil the whole punch of the film so I won’t ge tinto any detail. 7.5/10.
 
Hey guys, have any of you ever read 3x3 eyes? I heard its good. Ever heard of it?

Anyone here watched Rveolutionary Girl Utena? It sort of interests me. With Mawaru Penguindrum coming out later this year in the states, I’m interested in seeing the director’s other famous work (other than Sailor Moon).

To be honest, I’ve actually been curious about it myself. q:

As for Mawaru Penguindrum*… thanks a lot. Now that transformation scene is stuck in my head. >_<;;;

I really gotta finish it though. The quirky plot is so quirky, it bears watching. O.O*

There’s a few people on this board who like it (I decided to search the word Utena here).

And I don’t know if I’d call it yuri. My understanding is that it doesn’t go far enough in that direction, although the subtle implications are certainly there.

Implied? Hm, now I am really curious. I’m a little familiar with the yuri fandom. Utena is a favorite.

I do hate Shoujo Kakumei Utena. It’s very boring and the yuri there makes me facepalm. Then again, I do hate yaoi and yuri with a certain level of passion.

You’d better be very careful then or avoid yuri all together. They promote homosexuality and all it’s filth and I can’t read an anime page on TV Tropes witohut being bombarded by people stating that this or that character is homosexual based on the slightest bit of affection they showed each other. Come on, if Rika or Satoko showed any sexual feelings for each other or if Madoka and Homura ever showed any romantic feelings for each other.

For that matter, any depiction of sex that isn’t treated seriously or with respect is wrong. It’s the reason I can accept the relationship between Guts and Casca in Berserk but not that of Aya and the guy she fell in love with after 5 seconds and slept with him; the former had people with very screwed up lives and eventually warmed up to each other, the latter was as superficial as a spawn of Twilight can be.

It’s the reason I’m not watching Utena: I know it is only implied but don’t want to be bombarded with a lot of homosexual jokes nor do I want relationships with men and women to be made fun of. In fact, I gave up reading the Godfather becuase every other sentence was a sexual innuendo and got sick of it fast. And let no one tell me I’m homophobic or something because I’m not. Minorin Kushieda from Toradora was bisexual at most and her relationship with Taiga with all it’s ‘implications’ was only a bi-product of the anime writers probably to appeal to the masses as I heard the novels didn’t have any of those implications. There was a transvestite villian in the Kyoto arc of Rurouni Kenshin who was actually sympatethic and Griffith from Berserk is…

Point is, people should avoid works that center around homosexuality and dirtiness of any kind. I say center, becuase dealing with topics like sex seriously is not wrong at all. Thats why I suggest you avoid Utena. Watch or read something else like Hayate the Combat Butler. That anime and manga is really funny and awesome and you’ll definitely like it as it has everything a good shonen should have.

My Little Monster is a high school romcom anime about an anti-social girl and a troublemaking guy. Both are good people at heart, but of course they have issues that can obscure this. They have to work through them of course. Good show all round.

Kamisama Kiss is about a girl who becomes the local land deity after saving the former one from a dog. It’s a romcom, and the main guy is her familiar, a fox youkai who is rather prickly and stern.

Robotics;Notes is about the adventures of a high school robotics club and the conspiracies they uncover. Really good story from the makers of Steins;Gate.
 
Say guys, I released a new video on my personal channel. It’s a lyrics video of the ending theme of the Berserk anime but I went and using photo editing software made a lot of still using the available credits the anime gave and made one with Zodd, Guts in his Blackswordman days, of his companions, etc… there are a lot more that I didn’t use in the video but I’m definitely going to use them soon. Yeah, why don’t they sub them at least? It’s better to put in subtitles on live action movies as the original acting will still remain intact and deep dialogue will also stay intact. Now that Rurouni Kenshin is lvie action, I really want to see it in cinema and my dad too as he’s a big Kenshin fan. Kenshin is like my most favorite anime and manga ever; it’s the one that affected me the most together with Neon Genesis Evangelion, FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Berserk, Hayate no Gotoku, Monster and 20th Century Boys.

The actor who plays Kenshin is just PERFECT! He looks literally like Kenshin. The actors who play Sanouske, Saito and Kanreyou Takeda look really good and so does the one who plays Kaoru.
