Hikaru no Go! Sugee!Iām a fan of anime as well. I donāt think anime in general is immoral or sinful to watch at all unless one is watching a hentai anime or an ecchi anime that causes one to have and dwell upon sinful thoughts.
My favorites would have to be Hikaru no Go, GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka), Monster, Tsukihime, Slam Dunk, Angel Beats, Rurouni Kenshin, just to name a few.
Iām anxious for the 2nd season of Chihayafuru, and am currently watching Sword Art Online as they are being released on CR.
I also watch most of my anime on CR (crunchroll) and Hulu. Is that where most of you guys go to watch?

I just saw 5 Centimeters per Second. And, wow. What a brilliant movie. While it was very short in my opinion, being 60 minutes long, it fitted and was not ruched at all. The best thing was undoubtedly the characters themselves andā¦ the ending. I am not going to spoil the ending and nobody here spoil it because to call it brilliant, original, unique and sad is an understatement. I was staring at my screen all teary eyed it was so well done and unbeleivable. 10/10. This film goes beyond a plan to watch; it doesnāt even belong to the category of must see. Itās NECESSARY to see this movie for its brilliance. I LOVED it, one of the greatest movies and anime ever made. Itās a flipping masterpiece.

And I just watched the trailer for 5 Centimeters per Second; it looks real good. It reminded me right away of Voices of a Distant Star.
I like Accel World a lot too. There was only one thing that I didnāt like: Haruyuki.
I donāt want to say too much about him and spoil it for those that havenāt seen the anime, but I will say that his personality almost had me drop the series, lol.As I tell everyone, who knew an anime about a board game can be so awesome?
I feel bad for her too, but itās for the best the way I see it. Do you see Kirito as a Gary Stu character? To be honest, Iām really starting to dislike him.

Absolutely not. Heck, all this talk of witch hunting Mary/Gary Stus makes my eyes roll. Kirito is actually a very nice departure from the status quo of main characters. Iāll elaborate further but I gotta get ready for work.

Just saw episode 9 of the new Hayate anime. What a twist at the end! Its one of the better episodes and I anāt wait to find out what happens in the next one. Plus, no annoying Ruka moments at all.

There are certain behavior aspects of his overly confident attitude that he has that I donāt like. However, other people Iām sure love it, which is fine with me.

And I think I know what you mean by him being a departure from the status quo of main characters. He is the 1st character Iāve seen in a while that seems like heās already the most powerful character (or one of the most powerful) in the anime, and not to mention, already extremely confident with his abilities. In most action animes Iāve seen, there would be many others more powerful than the main character, and then that character would have to gain experience and get stronger (physically, and sometimes mentally), so to speak, to defeat all the other more powerful characters within the anime.

I love Kenshin. Heās one of my top favorite male anime characters Iāve ever seen. And yes, Iāve thought about Kenshin possibly being the closest to the most āidealā character as one can have. But I still wouldnāt want to lump him or any character as some sort of āperfectā being without a single discernible flaw (a Gary Stu); I think they would have to be almost, if not completely, one-dimensional to qualify as one.

KENSHIN IS ONE OF THE GREATEST CHARACTERS EVER SO YOU CANāT CALL HIM A MARTY STU!!!.
Now seriously, Kenshin is a really ideal character but that doesnāt mean he doesnāt have flaws like putting the world on his shoulders and his hidden wrath inside plus the fact he killed people before and is trying to repent for them. He is the kind of person you look up to and want to be. Other characters of this sort also include Hayate the Combat Butler whose niceness but firm love everyone would want to emulate, Kenzou Tenma from Monster who is a lot like Kenshin but more realistic and in some ways, Guts from Berserk as he never falls from his beliefs and simply refuses to die.
Kenshin is one of the big reasons Rurouni Kenshin is my msot favorite anime and manga ever: for such a superheroic character, he sure has a realistic personality.
