**Hardcore old school 90’s anime fans also really bug me, **ones who refuse to watch any new anime and make the excuse that they’ll always be inferior to the old ones, implying that great anime like Baccano, FMAB, Hayate, Death Note, Clannad, Sword of the Stranger and Madoka Magica are all bad which of course doesn’t make any sense. Granted there ar eplenty of old school anime that are very great like Rurouni Kenshin but Kenshin inspired other anime to follow it’s lead and messages. Someone also told me that most new anime today are all about pointless fanservice and overdone harem comedy and while I do agree somewhat with him, recent years have relased a lot of critically acclaimed stuff like Steins Gate and Fate Zero and of coruse Madoka Magica.

Hehehe…funny that you say that

.You know with me and the list of anime I wanna watch that I’ve made 4 myself most of it is from the 90’s and there’s plenty of stuff just from the* 90’s
alone* that I can gleefully lounge around in.One reason for me being into 90’s anime is b/c it’s kinda like it’s only now that I’m older & have a better understanding of sub-text and such that I can truly enjoy loads of 90’s anime much better then only the kids stuff like DBZ,Pokemon & Digimon like when I was little.
Also I’ve got like a
nostalgic congeniality for the graininess and bright solid colors of old anime (similar to my liking of early to mid 90’s American comics despite the crud that decade gets) more then the bright, colorful, glossy, warm look nowadays days.Trust me I like that as well aesthetic as well as it’s a nicely modernized look but at the same time I found **so far **that there are few shows that harbor the new look that I like. But (to take a tip from exoflare)
with me this isn’t saying much b/c I’ve never really watched that much anime.
I know I’ve said this b4 but the increasing trend of the past 5 years for using teen characters and high school becoming a common setting has been personally bothersome for me esp.since I finished high school.
Look I know that, that works effectively b/c being a high schooler is a time of big change and it goes well with the story & character development you could pull off but dang it man why so few shows revolving around adult characters lately?.They can change too.Sure it’s not as expected or easier but that’s still a good soil to grow a story in!.I hope this doesn’t ever get to as cliche as using revenge as the entire motivator of an action movie esp.with (I’ve heard) the increasingly low lucrativeness of the industry.
Also about the
amounts of anime I watch.Since anime
is as diverse in scope as live action movies like live action movies I’m just selective.Like panning for gold I gotta shift thru all that’s available, see what’s left and look at them individually closely. With subbed series I gotta take the time to read and digest what’s going on instead of hearing the direct audio of a dub.Just to say,for the most part I don’t even watch live action movies all that much!.So I’m going straight to what is most familar to me (90’s series whose names I’ve heard floating around) qicker then the 2000’s stuff. There’s still some good stuff in their but I gotta
take more time to contently gold pan.
Although now that I think about/since this has been brought up there’s a LOAD of anime movies & game cutscenes that I enjoyably and more efficiently spend time mowing thru on my remaining break. But hey would I be made fun of a/o be considered of any less of an anime fan for being into older stuff ? (

; ).
Right now:I’m watching Madoka Magica b/c a dozen episode series is still do-able to finish before school then the Slayers and Kenshin episode I got lined up after.
