Father Raymond de Souza of Queen’s University (Kingston, Ontario, Canada) recently penned an excellent article titled** Sin and Expiation**.
I think the good Father wrote an excellent article on the recent pay-outs resulting from the recent rape scandal in the Archdiocese of LA, but I believe he had one fatal flaw. He placed the blame on the extremely small number of offending “priests”.
Here’s my question… how about the roughly two thirds of American Bishops who knew of the rapists despicable and criminal behavior, and still protected them?
