😐 I don’t think Christ ignored Scripture- I was using Him as the example for why we shouldn’t “give up on you”, so that should’ve tipped you off to the direction I was going with this.

Adam and Eve’s earthly life wouldn’t have ended in death if they believed the truth. satan told them their earthly life would not end in death if they ate from the tree in the middle of the garden where he was dwelling. Alas The serpent lied and our earthly lives end in death now. Our mortal bodies no longer enjoy immortal life with the soul.

Resurrection requires God. The immortal soul is not capable of divinizing it’self or the body. You are talking stuff you really don’t know. But then you believe in something that another man believes and not the Truth of Christ.

The Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ. So how can you “REFUSE” to believe in it’s teachings?

Watch the video Ratio1 posted and stop embarrassing yourself on a Catholic website. What was your goal in coming here? It is quite obvious that we do die. You don’t need training in theology to grasp this; this is a fact of medicine and biology, unless we are alive when Christ returns. Christians (or “Churchianity”, as you call it) do not deny the laws of basic biology.

However, Jesus himself said that there will be a resurrection after this life. Most mainline Christian groups believe in the resurrection of the dead, which is precisely what Jesus preaches.

No one clearly explained to you that confession is pointless if you are not contrite in heart and attempt to make a change. If you put in no effort in changing your sinful ways, then confession won’t help you in any way. Confession is NOT magic. You need to put in effort to change. If I were to commit the same sin every single week and confess it without putting in an effort to stop committing that sin, then there is no point in even going.

If we are immortal souls in these bodies- we NEVER die- JUST as Satan told Eve.
 
Literally type into google “who found the catholic church” and read what pops up.
 
The moral of this is that you must look deeper into scenarios and see consequences. In Gods terms ‘die’ meant that they would not Be in Gods graces. They would be punished. Satan was literal… deceiving Adam and Eve into giving into temptation and essentially ‘dying’ as God had said.

That is your definition of death, that the soul dies as well with the body, fine, state it plainly, rather than get into attacks. But is it biblical?
