It mans that Christ didn’t seek glory for Himself even though He was the Father’s equal. That is just polytheistic opinion.
So you say Thomas was praising only ONE of his Gods?
“Thought it not” was archaic English for " never thought it".
Phil 2:5- Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6- who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped. - RSV
Adam and Eve’s earthly life wouldn’t have ended in death if they believed the truth. satan told them their earthly life would not end in death if they ate from the tree in the middle of the garden where he was dwelling. Alas The serpent lied and our earthly lives end in death now. Our mortal bodies no longer enjoy immortal life with the soul.Gen 3:3- God said, ‘You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’” 4- But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not die."
It’s very apparent you think of the body as if it were a container for the soul. That’s a primitive conceptualization. Way back to plato.Churchianity and the world religions ALL teach we don’t die- but float off as ‘immortal souls’…
Resurrection requires God. The immortal soul is not capable of divinizing it’self or the body. You are talking stuff you really don’t know. But then you believe in something that another man believes and not the Truth of Christ. Thus dying and resurrection is merely the ‘immortal soul’ floating in and out of the body, according to CHURCHianity.
The Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ. So how can you “REFUSE” to believe in it’s teachings?Sorry you feel that way.
I REFUSE to believe anything that is the opposite of what Jesus and scriptures teach.
That offends all in EVERY denomination.
What part of “IMMORTAL soul” don’t you understand. It is quite obvious that we do die. You don’t need training in theology to grasp this; this is a fact of medicine and biology, unless we are alive when Christ returns. Christians (or “Churchianity”, as you call it) do not deny the laws of basic biology.

I rarely hear anything as ridiculous. The Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ.
Unbelievable.Resurrection requires God. The immortal soul is not capable of divinizing it’self or the body.

Unfortunately, you are misinformed. But since it appears from your response to my post above that you do not wish to discuss calmly, I refuse to answer any more to you.Snow_XII:![]()

It was founded by Constantine, a very wicked man.
That is your definition of death, that the soul dies as well with the body, fine, state it plainly, rather than get into attacks. But is it biblical?angelic06:![]()

If we are immortal souls in these bodies- we NEVER die- JUST as Satan told Eve.
