Corinne,
Thank you for your suggestions. I recently bought the book, A Mother’s Rule of Life by Holly Pierlot & it is wonderful…I just have to put it into practice now!! (btw, Pierlot has been called the Catholic fly lady)

Anyway, did I read earlier that movies were permitted?
Thanks again,Renee
I’ll put that book on my wishlist. Wht you said about FlyLady makes me want to read it. You are correct, ma’am, that movies are permitted. 🙂

my Mother my Confidence,
Corinne

The internet is a location, not an action, and this would be like saying “Town-in-which-I-live takes up so much of my time!”
What activity is it that takes up the time and you would like support dropping?
For me, being on the internet is an activity/action. & maybe, I just need more time…or to manage my time more effectively? In any event, there is no activity I want/need to drop. I find myself on the computer a lot & right now, when I put things in perspective, it’s probably not excessive. I’m a recent convert & am doing a lot of researching of this faith on the internet & I’m going back to school in the fall & am researching that as well…
Thanks for your willingness to help,
Renee

Here’s a collection of Christian (mostly Catholic) and prolife websites:
dashjr.is-a-geek.org/~cora-jr/links/christ.html
and a great book I’m reading about the origin of the Bible that refutes Sola Scriptura:
geocities.com/thecatholicconvert/wherewegotthebible.html

I think I’m on this computer too much (especially when CAF works!!). When I take breaks from the computer, I read a lot in the bathroom, clean, eat, pray the rosary, and other things…I get a lot more cleaning done when I get of my butt and start working! 🙂 God bless you all! Have a great day.

my Mother my Confidence,
Corinne

Earlier I asked what people do instead of watch TV. I don’t remember if I answered that question, so here I go:
read books
pray
go for a walk
do the dishes
clean (go FlyLady! flylady.net )
learn about the faith
write letters
water the plant
wonder how to pack up our stuff (we’re going to move soon)
enjoy the birds’ noises out the window (sometimes they drown out the barking dogs in the neighborhood!!)
listen to music
keep in touch with friends and family, mostly via email
talk to my dear husband, hug, cuddle, etc.
work on a new craft project

my mother my Confidence,
Corinne

I would have joined years ago because I detest 99% of tv but then I got a dish and I could never imagine not having EWTN. It is all so spiritual and helps me to continue to grow in my faith. But if an EWTN watcher can join I am in.
