Ron Paul has some good ideas and some very odd ones. However he is unelectable. And right now that is what counts to get out of the starting gate.

Yup, and now John Hagee is participating in Rick Perry’s “Day of Fasting and Prayer”.
Here’s a video of him inviting people to join him at it to pray for the United States of American (and I suppose to ask God to protect the nation from gays & Catholics)

Sarah Palin also appears to be a John Hagee fan - here she’s trying to fit one of his events into her schedule:
“Is sched free to do john hagee event in june? Pls cc me and erika on that.” - Sarah Palin, May 3, 2007.

Just goes to show you that you can hate homosexuals, abortion, AND Catholics all at the same time. 🙂
I thought it was decided last election that been involved with a radical, hate spewing pastor was perfectly acceptable?

oops srry. none of my posts were deleted. I accidentally posted in the ron paul thread. Got too into my rants haha

ok you know what I know alotta you think what im saying is crazy but honestly if you connect the dots youll see there is something beneath the government that we see. You can find on youtube or google david rockefeller wanted to create a one world order. Here is video of dick cheney claiming to be lontime friends with david.
youtube.com/watch?v=NTVi5j1uiDA

And here is testimony that Dick Cheney ordered at least one of the planes not to be shot down
youtube.com/watch?v=RRJAI4-e7Xw
He was also the one who fabricated the facts about the WMD in Iraq.

David rockefeller and the rothschilds are the families setting up central banks to steal from every country they can.

Here is aaron russo talking about the 9/11 fraud
youtube.com/watch?v=7nD7dbkkBIA
Aaron russo was a presidential candidate about 6 years ago. He even went on cnn and stated that Nick Rockefeller stated all these things to him on air. Don’t you think Nick Rockefeller would have sued him for defamation? You can find pictures of him with nick rockefeller on the internet. He is good freinds with Ron Paul. COME ON GUYS, IS IT THAT HARD TO CONNECT THE DOTS AND NOTICE THAT MANY OF OUR TOP LEADERS ARE FRIENDS WITH PEOPLE WHO WANT TO CONTROL THE WORLD?

One more question. How dangerous was terrorism beofre 9/11? It was almost nothing in the USA. They are using 9/11 to take away our liberty. Why can’t you see it. We are attacking coutries for no reason. You know Dick Cheney, a good friend of Rockefeller, made up the lie about the Weapons of Mass Destruction? You guys are just going along with what they want you to see in the media. You guys don’t seem to want to believe that our great country can be like this. But Aaron Russo stated what the bible also said. That the bad guys want to place chips in our bodies. Sadly he’s dead now.

One more thing. How many of you here are structural or civil engineers. Does a building hit by a plane fall like the way the world trade centers did? I really doubt it. That in addition to the fact that Dick Cheney fabricated lies to go to war and the fact that he is great friends with someone who wants to unite the world under one rule should concern all of you. I’m tryin to make you guys question things so that you won’t be so ignorant to the lies of the media and our government.

Not at all! He’ll be president until '16, then he can decide what he’s going to do thereafter. 🙂
He’s not a lawyer, you know. Never really practiced it. In fact he has never worked at much of anything. The 72 weekends golfing tell us he thinks of his job as a kind of elected king. And they used to laught at Calvin Coolidge for napping in the afternoon, and of course Ike for HIS golfing. Never as lazy as Obama. He golfs and gives campaign speeches.

That is not fair. Just about every modern president golfs (Nixon was a bowler), and some golf a lot. It is relaxing for them. I don’t see anything wrong with that. Some of our greatest presidents had similar hobbies. You may have problems with him, but this shouldn’t be one of them.

This article is a little dated, but points out the other presidents who golfed.

President-elect Barack Obama will become the 15th of the past 18 American presidents who has played golf. …Vice President-elect Joe Biden, who discovered golf less than 10 years ago, has a Handicap Index of 8.2. Here’s our ranking of the golfing presidents, with an assist from Don Van Natta Jr., author of the book, First Off the Tee: Presidential Hackers, Duffers, and Cheaters from Taft to Bush.

1 John F. Kennedy Despite chronic back pain, averaged 80.
2 Dwight D. Eisenhower Had a green outside the Oval Office.
3 Gerald R. Ford Clumsy, but was a legitimate 80s-shooter.
4 Franklin D. Roosevelt At 39, polio robbed him of a powerful golf swing.
5 George H.W. Bush Once got his handicap down to 11.
6 George W. Bush Outgoing prez is a capable 15-handicapper.
7 Bill Clinton Can break 90, especially using his “Billigans.”
8 Barack Obama The lefty plays more hoops than golf.
9 Ronald Reagan Didn’t play often or well (best was low 90s).
10 Warren G. Harding Struggled to break 95.
11 William Howard Taft As hapless a golfer as he was a chief executive.
12 Woodrow Wilson Played more than Ike but almost never broke 100.
13 Richard M. Nixon He shot 79 once and quit the game.
14 Lyndon B. Johnson Played with senators to secure votes for the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
15 Calvin Coolidge When he vacated the White House, he left his clubs behind.

He taught law at the University of Chicago Law School from 1992 to 2004. Surely that counts for something. Before that he was a community organizer in one of the toughest neighborhoods in Chicago. I wouldn’t say that counts for nothing. He’s earned his living.

It doesn’t count as “practicing law.”
True, but you stated that the President has never really worked much at anything. That’s blatantly false. He may not have practiced law, but he has taught those who have.

Typical of academia. Reminds me of Rodney Dangerfield in Back to School.

Has Obama practiced law? No but he did spend last night at a Holiday Inn express

Teaching law in the classroom is no less practicing law than taking part in litigation. Teaching may seem like a lesser vocation by some than expounding before the bench, but no man or woman has become a lawyer were it not for a law school professor.

I agree with you 100 %. As you mention, teaching is more than a job. It’s a vocation.
