You need to go back and read why he objected to it.
He said he was for eliminating laws that forced segregation but there was more to it in the act then just that. It’s what people have been saying the whole time but people have been sticking their fingers in their ears saying …la la la la Ron Paul is racist.
I explicitly said in my post # 888 that I don’t believe he is racist – that the deeper problem lies with his governing philosophy which is too narrow and inflexible. Bob said something similar in one of his posts.

Did he say he’d get rid of Jim Crow laws…yes.
ONLY where they appiled to govt facilities. not for indivuduals and businesses. For instance he specificaly said a milirary base lunch counter could not discriminate against blacks but a private lunch counter should be able to.

And he also said in an interview with Chris Matthews, look I can’t just walk into your studio.

You I understand. Bob, I had to call out because he cherry picked quotes out context, with no reference with intent to show Paul as a racist. He has since back peddled.

Btw, I find the current course far more dangerous and no other candidates offering real solutions.

So do you agree with Ron Paul that businesses should be allowed to deny service to people based on any factor including the color of their skin?

Please show an explicit statement stating that’s what Ron Paul supports.

No, only continuing the spin for lurkers to be easily led into believing they must only support the most far right conservative republican only. 😛
Based on Bob’s objection, GM execs should be fined or arrested for discrimination for forcing visitors with Ford, etc. cars to park in a seperate lot at their plants and tech center.

Are you gonna finally prove he believes that?
"
"A free society will abide unofficial, private discrimination," wrote Paul, "even when that means allowing hate-filled groups to exclude people based on the color of their skin. It is unenlightened and ill-informed to promote discrimination against individuals based on the color of their skin. It is likewise unwise to forget the distinction between public (taxpayer-financed) and private entities."

Well, according to your post that is Rand Paul but, thanks for showing that he objects to promoting discrimination.

I deleted the post . Like his father however he claims to oppose discrimination but doesnt think the government should prohibit it. nice attitude for those who are white and have never been denied service-not such a nice attitude if one is Black

Do you beleive the government should be able to forbid Buisnesses to deny service to people based on their race, creed, gender or country of national origin? Do you beleive ron Paul supports the right of the govt to do this?

Your post however does show why so many of us in the pro-life movement are uncomfortable with Ron Paul’s political philosophy. you claim Rand Paul personally opposes discrimination, but does not believe the government has any right to forbid it. This is the same argument we have heard from liberal Catholics for 30 years as to why it’s okay for a politician to support abortion as long as he personally opposes it.

Do you believe it is appropriate for the government to forbid private businesses to deny service people based on their race, creed, gender country national origin? Do you deny that Ron Paul believes the government should not have this right?

How would his non-interventionist philosophy apply to Israel, Scott? And should those of us who are pro-Israel support or reject his policy?
We support our legitimate allies. When have we had to do anything for Israel? From my recollection, we sell them arms, they do their own fighting.

You asked Estesbob if he was finally going to prove that Ron Paul believes that "businesses should be allowed to deny service to people based on any factor including the color of their skin?"

When he does exactly that, instead of conceding the point, you try to spin it.

Apparently, most of the people here don’t believe in a free society. 🤷
