Why Am I for nationa healthcare?

I find what he went through obscene and unforgivable. If I have to go homeless on account of an aneurysm I’d say just let me die. What makes his case sad is he had insurance and money saved, despite doing the wright things his life is still ruined.

I’m a CT and X-ray Technologist with an associates in health sciences and a bachelor of science in an unrealted field. I graduated top of my radiography class, scored very high on my national X-ray boards after graduation and just two weeks ago took my national CT registry and passed it. What do you think I am worth? I work with radiologist who did 4 years undergrad, 4 years med school, 4 years radiology residency (must score high on medical boards to get in radiology), and anywhere from 1 to 3 years of a fellowship to do biopsies, drains, stent placements, etc. What do you think they are worth.

But look at all the people with health problems from sucking down sodas and junk food. The CEO’s of those companies are making millions at the expense of people’s health!!

Making ooodles of money of of people doing things they choose isn’t a sin, getting rich off of someone’s misfortune is.

In healthcare all involved should make a fair living wage and the rest of the money go into making sure its availble to everyone.

A living wage is defined by the USCCB as “adequate for workers to provide for themselves and their families in dignity.”

In the united states, $300,000 exceeds the living wage.

Enough to own whatever your locality’s equivelent to what a 150grand house is here in Grand Rapids, which I guess might be more in your neck of the woods.

I could careless about what the USCCB says… You embroiled in semantics rather than the big picture.

His makinging ooodles of bucks isn’t going to save any ones life or well being. If you want to make millions go into making widgets or hair spray. In healthcare all involved should make a fair living wage and the rest of the money go into making sure its availble to everyone.

Interesting I suck down soda’s and fastfood. my Cholesterol is 160, and my bloodsugar is 75. Really bad:rolleyes: But cant afford to take care of the hundreds of moles that look questionable. Ohwell if I die I hope there is a special home waiting to take care of my wife who has emotional problems where she harms herself. skin cancer that I could easily get is genetic. Universal healthcare likey would address that problems I can be there to take care of my wife, whos capicity to take care of herself is very questionable.

I give my best to explain in terms of what someone from outside f my hometown can understand as to what you’d get. Likely a Nice newer home in the subhurbs with 3 or 4 bedrooms 2 baths. newer is highly possbile. Full basement on a 1/3 to /12 acre maybe, 2 story.

Here’s what you need to honestly consider. Why the Rush? Why does this bill HAVE to be passed by Christmas if its not going to take effect until 2 - 4 years from now. Doesn’t that scare you?

And why haven’t they given the Lawmakers (note: in this instance “Lawmakers” is an oxymoron because its the freakin’ lobbiest who wrote the bill… yet another thing that should frighten you…) a chance to even read the bill that they are fixing to pass into law?

If there was a Monday Night ESPN Panel for Congress this would be aired on “C’MON, MAN”!!!

I have a friend with a masters degree in computer systems management.
He lost his job 6 months ago.
He has plenty of money in the bank to pay his other expenses until he finds a new job, but not enough to afford health insurance for himself and his family.

Do you know what he did?
He got a minimum wage job selling coffee and carbohydrates at a local coffee shop that offers healthcare insurance for all FT employees.

He’s 45 years old. He is humiliated to be working in a drive through.
He didn’t take the job for the money, he took it for the insurance.

He took the job to provide for his family and because he would be more humiliated to be an able-bodied person demanding that other people should take care of him.

That’s about $160 to $210k down here; the basement kicks up the price since they are few and far between down here.

… and the people and groups that invest in your company would suck their money out faster than you can post your first earnings statement. Their is a reason CEO’s are overpaid, and its sort of like athletes. Because they do serve a function.

Let’s say someone offered you double that to do the same job. Would you take it? I mean, if you’re going to be doing th same job, what’s the logic behind not taking the highest salary you’re offered?
