Why are Catholics often this way?

Exactly, if they want to debate the Church Teachings thats one thing. But to say the Catholic Church teaches this, thats is nothing but a lie. A lie. The Catholic Church cant be responsible for every thing a person does. And especially kids. Kids make mistakes and yes should be corrected. But you dont blame their Religion for the wrong they do. And i have been Catholic all of my life and we were never taught to attack Jewish People. We we to attack NO ONE. So like i said this story isnt flying with me. And dont blame the church for anyone personal actions and say its the teaching. Oh Well consider the source I guess.

WHERE did I say the CHURCH taught those girls to beat up Jewish kids as “christ killers”?

True, for years I assumed the Catholic school they attended must have taught them that, but BECAUSE I later began studying all religions, incl. Catholicism, I learned that they would NOT have been taught that IN SCHOOL.

So where did they learn it?

AT HOME. Probably from parents of the same generation as the people here, trying to deny it ever happened.

Years later, when I decided to homeschool my children, upon learning there was no Jewish curriculum and no (reasonably priced) secular curriculum, I finally settled for a Traditionalist Catholic one…I simply deleted the religious material.

And you know what I found from using their books (reprints of 1950s Catholic school books with modern updatings)?

There was NOTHING anti-Jewish in ANY of them. In fact, there were PRO-Jewish statements, esp. in the history books dealing with ancient history.

So I KNOW the church did not teach the hatred, but their family evidently did.

There is a song from the musical SOUTH PACIFIC that would fit in very well with what I’m trying to say…its called, “You Have To Be Carefully Taught”.
