(of a person) without a home, and therefore typically living on the streets

so all gay people live on the streets?

now im VERY confused

You are joking right? How am I being a troll? I am stating my opinions and I get called out and judged?

Right. We all know that heterosexual couples are desperate to adopt, even going to great lengths, great cost, and great distances to do so.
My friends tried unsuccessfully three times (mom changed her mind at the last minute all three times before they were able to get adopt a beautiful little boy.
Actually heterosexual couples, for the most part, are desperate to adopt white, healthy, newborns of which there is a shortage. Gay couples are usually willing to adopt a wider range of children.

Citations? Stats?
The people in my parish who adopt have adopted: whole families (many American siblings at once) , Vietnamese children, Chinese children, children from Guatemala, Russia, and other children of mixed race from within the U.S. Only ONE couple with a new white child. In fact, this child’s parents are in prison. Not exactly a “let’s go buy us a shiny new baby story”.

Even if it were true, which there is no evidence of, why does that in anywhere just by placing children in a dysfunctional disordered home?

I don’t think you are a troll but I am interested in how you can reconcile your position on homosexual adoptions with the teachings of our church? I think that is perhaps why some people look up on your suspiciously as you list yourself as Catholic but seem to reject The teachings of the church

I have seen many posts(before registration) saying gay adoption is wrong but what is the parents(abstaining from sex) taught how traditional marriage worked(and explained that homosexual sex is bad) What if the adoption agency was abusive and the gay parents would make good parents.

IMO if they make good parents they should be able to adopt, regardless of sexuality.
Before Pope Francis was pope he stated he thought it was child abuse.

But who was he to judge…🤷😉

If the children were given to a gay couple, then they would still be considered homeless.
Homeless in the fact that they have a house (a roof over their heads) but severely lacking in what truly makes a house a home. Two very different things.

Sexuality has EVERYTHING to do with being good parents. It takes a man and a woman to create a child because that is where the whole process starts ! Then the it takes the same man and same woman to raise that child.

Yes there will be instance where one of the biological parents will die and not be able to raise that child. But that is the unfortunate case and the child needs something as close as possible to the original family

Honestly, it REALLY kills me that people who disregard church teaching would come on a Catholic website and expect support for sin:rolleyes:
Sounds like the same battles we had with my in-laws, who thought it was a crime that their SSA son was being denied sex by the Catholic Church. They have since passed, but I worry about their eternal salvation.

I was raised in an open minded home, it took forever for me to force myself to condemn homosexual sex(IDC what consenting people do) so that’s why,

Sorry I support equal rights

I was raised in a Catholic home. I was taught that the truth was the truth and that sin was never a "right " This was reinforcing my years in the seminary in mind active involvement in the church since then . . It is probable that sometime in the next year my homosexual daughter and her partner( married in the eyes of the government) are going to adopt . I will make every effort to be the best grandfather I can and try to make up for the fact that they will not have a father . But it will not be an ideal situation for the Child and as much as I like grandkids it simply is not right

Marriage is not a Constitutional right in the USA.

I hope the adoption goes well, you and your family are in my prayers.

Thanks for the prayers. I can always use them . However I hope the adoption doesn’t go well. The child should not be placed in this situation

so makng bunch of kids homless is better than giving them to a gay couple?
Yes. No one will give you that answer straight, but yes. The answer is yes.

I think it comes down to this: As long as the child is in the foster system, or an orphanage, or is living in a cardboard box, there is a chance that a married heterosexual couple will adopt him or her. The heterosexual couple will not be able to adopt the child if the homosexual couple does it first.

You also have to recognize that the Church regards the placement of a child in a gay household is the equivalent of physical or sexual abuse. So no matter what happens in the “homeless” situation, the child is no worse off than if he were in a gay household. Rape = exposing a child to the realization that some men have sex with each other and think it’s o.k.

Are you anticipating a shortage of married couples wanting to adopt? I would love to see the studies that would support this claim.
Actually, the shortage isn’t quite that. There aren’t enough foster parents to go around. Usually what happens is people enter the foster system as a faster way to adoption. After they adopt, they drop out of foster parenting.

Regardless, there are still children sleeping on cots in offices for lack of emergency placements.
