Very simple question…Why are Paul’s writings considered part of the sacred canon? He obviously was not Jesus and wasn’t there when Jesus made the promises made in Mathew 16 and Mathew 18 to Peter and the other apostles. So why do we take his writings and make them sacred scripture? I am not saying they shouldn’t be (although sometimes I admittedly feel that way), but I am curious what the Early Church reasoning was for this. Thanks in advance.
