Why are you a Christian?

hi everyone

my questions for christians are; why are u a christian?

Because I am called by the Holy Spirit.

what makes u chose christianity over other beliefs (athiesm, judaism, islam, hinduism etc)?

Atheism offers nothing beyond one single statement: God does not exist. My own experience and research has said otherwise. Judaism is a beautiful religion, however, I believe the Messiah has arrived. Islam does not interest me, period. Hinduism is really a collection of local religions, with some unifying theology, of course. Not what I would follow because I don’t believe in multiple gods, reincarnation, etc.

what makes christianity stand out?

The Holy Spirit.

do u think that u would have became a christian if not born as one?

I wasn’t born a Christian. No one is. I received a very nominal Protestant raising, with a “healthy” dose of antiCatholicism thrown in. But God won my soul because I listened to His call.

I’m lucky enough to be born and raised a Catholic Christian in a freely Catholic Christian country. I have to say, even if I were not born as so, I would still eventually be a Christian. I admit I have been away from the faith more than once in my life (mosty due to selfishness) yet whenever I get logical and try to find some truth in this world, I always end up with the truth of the Faith. I love being a Christian and I’ll die with a crucifix in hand…

Beautiful … describes me better than I ever could … and in my case since my reversion I wear a crucifix and Miraculous Medal pretty much permanently, even sleep with 'em on. I too like the idea of dying with the crucifix and Our Lady’s medal to hand.

i see, but how would u know that Jesus would get u to heaven, and not Ghandi, Muhamed or the Buddha? wot makes u think heaven exists?
