Seems like many Catholic efforts are misplaced when they try to attack the man, especially when many complaints and critics are strawmen.

He publicly pronounced that homosexuals are not bound to celibacy. He is a heretic, plain and simple.

The man is evil and does nothing but spread his evil homosexual propaganda.
Please, link me to that quote.

That is a link to Michael Vorhis (or however you spell his name). I’ll not put a penny in his pocket from a click through.

Do you have a link to an unbaised platform, unedited statement?

Here is the quote:

“From what I can tell, in the LGBT community, the teaching that LGBT people must be celibate their entire lives – not just before marriage as it is for most people but their entire lives – has not been received. Now, I say this and people go crazy. And this is simply based on LGBT people that I speak to. Now there are some that believe that – I would say it’s a very small percentage of people, right – but that’s a simple fact. You can say that they don’t agree with it. I would say the teaching therefore has not been received by the community to which it was largely directed. And so the question is, you know, what do we do with that? Now that’s the kind of question to circle back to your original question – that reflection, you know, what do we do with a teaching that has seemingly not been received by the community to which it was directed – is a theological question that bishops and LGBT people need to think about.”

And if I may say, Michael Voris is a good man. He overcame his homosexuality and now leads a life dedicated to God.

He may be a nice man, I’ve never met him. I do not wish to support his website.

If you do not have a link to unedited video, that is okay, just say so 🙂

Why don’t you wish to support his website? He is a faithful Roman Catholic trying to defend the church in face of modern errors.

He says it somewhere in this video, watch the whole thing if you’re desperate for the source:

Im going to recon that you have some businesses that you don’t want to patronize. That is your prerogative. I have my reasons.

When it comes to debate, it is important to present what are called “primary sources”. Mr. V is known to have an axe to grind with Fr Martin. I would prefer to see unedited video that was put up by a neutral party.

I did not see where you gave your source for that quote. It appears to be word-for-word from another webblogsite that has an agenda. Sigh.

Looks like we debate with different rules.

I’ll leave you to it.

I’ve just provided the source.

I’ll give you another erroneous Father James Martin Quote:
“You are meant to be yourself… being holy, my fellow graduates means being yourself.”

This is in direct contradiction to the words of Christ:

“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” Matthew 16:24

Because I cannot glean a 5 second quip out of a 97 minute video only moments after it was posted? See, that is the difference, it will take me at least 3 hours to watch a 97 minute video, pausing and running it back to make sure I have the notes. When I have 3 hours, I will watch the video you posted. My time machine is on the fritz.

Agree…I’ve seen.so many "boot leg’ and unedited videosi pop up. I will reserve my answer until I see or hear true unedited video…God Bless:🦋🦋🦋

I don’t have the time to do thus either. Hence why I didn’t provide a time frame.

@whyeyeman, carefully read what you posted there. In that quotation, Fr. Martin is merely telling what gay people think of Church teaching. He is correct, most LGBT do not accept Catholic teaching on homosexual chastity. I don’t see how it is controversial for him to point that out.

Also please refrain from calling Fr. Martin a heretic. That is calumny. I understand that he makes people uncomfortable, but I have yet to see that he has said anything that would warrant that accusation.
