Why can't girls be priests?

There are no women priests, as far as I know. I’ve never really heard of any, so I’m pretty sure there’s a rule about it. 🙂
 
@1ke meant it is not a rule because you don’t need a rule for something that is impossible. That’s why you don’t see any laws preventing people from going supernova. People aren’t stars so they can’t go supernova in the first place.
 
Just search out “Female priests” or Women priests" as there are tons of threads on this with excellent information.

It’s not a “rule” for the same reason it’s not a “rule” that men cannot get pregnant.

It’s just a fact of nature that men cannot get pregnant and it’s a fact of nature that the Sacrament of Holy Orders does not work on females.
