Why can't the Jewish rebuild their temple?

There is enough room for them to build the temple without the outer court. In biblical prophecy there is an indication that an angel is to measure the space on the temple mount but to leave out the measurement of the outer court.

The first temple was built by Salomon under the guidance of God. When the Jews turned away from God, the temple was destroyed during the Babylonian conqueror. The Jews went back to God, and the temple was rebuilt under Ezra and Nehemia. That temple was destroyed again in 70AD by the Roman. Even after 1939 years and the Jewish has become a nuclear weapon owner, they can’t rebuild their temple. Does it mean they have not turn back toward God?
Give us one good reason why they NEED to? Then elaborate, understanding their point of view on why it doesn’t mean a thing…

You have to establish their Need to do so, now.

even if they don’t build the outer court, will the Muslims be willing to share the space?

its like saying, you can put up a house in someone’s back yard without affecting their house. but its still in their back yard, will they allow it?

just a thought

Why can’t the Jewish build a temple on the temple mount?

I do believe that the main reasoning is that there is already a Mosque on top of it.
No. Even if there wasn’t a mosque, they’re waiting for the Messiah to come so that the Temple can be built.

In their own Thorah, there is rite of burning sacrifice, especially in the feast of Yom Kippur. The feast is for sin redemption (as far as I understand). The ritual was basically described in the book of Leviticus chapter 1 to 7.

And the next question is why there is no angel to come down from heaven and make the measurement?

First let me correct an error I made. It was an angel in Revelation speaking to John- while he was in the Spirit, to take a rod and measure the temple but do not include the outer court (REV 11:1-2).

This is because the outer court was a place where gentiles were allowed to gather.

This makes sense if the Temple was built on the Temple Mount and the Dome remained.

Look, it does not matter one hoot whether you or I or anyone thinks that the Jews should or should not build the Temple. It is what God has decided will happen.

Yes, which makes us the Wife of God.
Do you not believe in the Trinity?

I have read time and time again in Scripture that we are the Bride of Jesus Christ. Not once can i recall that we are refered to as the Bride of God, whereas Scipture has God saying that the Jews are His spouse. Never Does Scripture say that gentiles are His spouse.

You can take this one step further to justify the “Ever-Virginity” of Mary. Joseph would have been committing adultry with God’s espoused.

What you are saying seems close to the Oneness theology.

God isn’t finished with the Jews yet. There is still some prophecy to be fulfilled. Scripture must be completely true or it is a lie.

I do not accept replacement theology.

To not see “Bride of God” as a logical conclusion of “Bride of Christ” implies Nestorianism.

I can understand your conclusion because God is the Father, the Son and The Holy Spirit.

My human feeble mind cannot understand how three are one and the one are three. Nor can I grasp that God made Himself into His own Son with a human body and when the Father took the Son (which was Himself as He is God) up into Heaven but left behind the Holy Spirit(the Comfortor) (God Himself) to live within each of us.

But I do know that God, in Scripture, refers to The Chosen and the gentiles. Gentiles we are . And Scripture says what it says.

I believe that Jesus was completely God and completley human. When we come to Him at the marriage Supper of the Lamb as His Bride and He as the Bridegroom, He will be in His Divine Glorified Body, yet still be in complete unity with The Father and the Holy Spirit

There are mysteries that remain unwritten about eternity. Until then, I will accept the Written Word as it is written.

Not really.

Rather it is because Christ is God.

I am suggesting, as such, that the Bride of Christ and the Wife of God are one and the same; that the Apostles were the remnant Jewish faithful because only they had accepted their God become flesh; that they continued as the faithful Wife of God, which in the New Covenant became known as the Bride of Christ; and that the Gentiles were grafted one as a part of this one entity, not as distinct from it.

With the resurface of global antisemetism and the volatile peaceful accords in Israel, the Jewish temple may really ignite the war with the muslims. The original place of the Holy of holies is really where that dome of the peaceful religion stands.

If they will build it, that “other” building must go. No compromise.

Come to think of it, Israel has the capacity to dismantle it, but is wise not to do so.

Unless, the “man of sin” comes and deal with that “peaceful” religion.

Are you insane?

No Israel would not be destroyed any who oppose them would be though. So I say let them try. 🙂 God does love his people.
Amen v’amen!

Just a couple of points I’d like to bring out:
  1. So many people have spoken of animal sacrifices not being acceptable… but that’s not all that was given in the Temple. There were grain offerings and various libations, as well as the incense offering, which was offered on the golden altar inside the Temple itself… not in the courtyard where the animal sacrifices were offered. Where does Scripture say that G-d doesn’t desire these offerings?
  2. What are we to make of Ezekiel’s vision of a Third Temple if it isn’t supposed to be constructed at some time in the future? (Ezekiel 40-43)

When it comes to Israel, tempers sometimes flare, and sometimes we don’t even know how to respond. We might hear a new argument or a new perspective, and the limited knowledge we have proves to be insufficient. Especially in the age of sound-bites and knee-jerk politics, we need to have more facts at our fingertips, organize what we know, and be prepared to respond effectively.

No need for name calling!:tsktsk:

But that is what we are to make of it. The Third Temple was constructed following Ezekiel’s revelation, but not in our future. The construction of the Third Temple has already been accomplished.

Very interesting. Could you elaborate more?
