OK folks, the “real truth” is now out.

Apparently, the reason why the mosques were not destroyed by the tsunami is because the people who ran towards and took refuge inside of these mosques inexplicably started praying to “Lord Jesus”!!! … Astaughfirullah.

First, the photograph shows a mosque in Golchuk, Turkey near the epicentre of the massive earthquake which struck in August, 1999 and so it has nothing to do with the Indian Ocean tsunami which occured in December, 2004.

Second, it was not only mosques which survived in both the earthquake in Turkey and the tsunami in Indonesia but rather, certain other structures like religious schools also survived the destruction.

The building in the first photograph next to the mosque in Turkey may indeed have housed a religious school or other religious establishments.

I know it’s a horrible thing to even imagine never mind say it online…but it is turning people away from God…why did God not stop Hitler from his medical experiments in the holocaust. I did a research topic on it for history. And I can tell you I would not like to be doing that research topic AGAIN…it completely horrible in every factor of humanity to live on this world…some example were of his medical treatment on children was frizzing children in frizzing water to death…injecting stuff into their eyes to change the colour in them…it’s horrible to think about. But why did God say that child are closer to God that adults??? When this horrible man was doing this stuff to poor children. It would have been better if they were gassed to death than letting them died in such a manner to death some child died within days or maybe weeks dying in pain

My Father do that in the Adoration Chapel of the Holy Eucharist in our Parish. I only see him prostrate himself this way in the Holy Eucharist. He knows Who that piece of unleavened bread represents.

One of this days I might emulate him praying this way in the ‘Right Direction’.

I do understand what you said and yes once I thought about it too.
Then I realize that there are some bad things happen and we don’t know why God allow them to happen. Because God is mystery so not every questions that we have will be answered but if we put faith in God then God will help us to understand, at least that what I have experienced. ( you may want to read JOB, and it may help you to understand). And I think that God always answer our prayers but many times, God’s answers are not the ones that we expect, that’s why we will think that God doesn’t answer our prayers.
God’s answers will be yes or no or wait it’s not the time yet. But we don’t want to take it when the answer is no or wait.

What about disabilities? People who are born blind, deaf, with Downs Syndrome, systic phibrosos, etc the list is endless.

If God was invovled surely these little innocents would be on the other side of that line, and He could intervene? Life is random and cruel and it’s unfortunately how it is, but dno’t expect help from God or even a rational explanation for why He is doing this, if he is an invovled god…becasue there is none. The only explanation is that He is not invovled. He is the Architect and the Watchmaker.

Childhood deformity, diseases, and all kinds of disabilities are a result of the disharmony of nature caused by Man’s fall. But, God knows that He can draw greater good from all kinds of suffering in the end. In His wisdom God may permit a child to be born deformed who with health and strength would fling itself into the pleasures of sin and end up in eternal loss. Would it not be a mercy for some, apparently sane people, to have been born with great defects in order to save them from Hell? People, whether mentally or bodily deformed, do not spend the whole of their lives in misery and suffering. They too can experience joy and love, laughter and compassion. Likewise, we must remember that our souls are eternal, and all will be rectified either in this life or the next.

Again, an intellectually or psychologically damaged child/adult cannot sin, and so what appears to us as a life not worth living will, after a mere 80 years or so, yield to the joy of eternal happiness in Heaven. These days we have convinced ourselves that the merciful thing to do is to snuff out the lives of helpless human beings through abortion/euthanasia. But, in the process we can send ourselves to Hell by committing this grave sin.

Brady, you have been given some very good answers. You have been told that the reason there is evil in the world…great evil…is because people freely choose to do it.

It is a great gift God has given us, that freedom to make choices; but if the freedom to make choices is only allowed if those choices are good ones–how is that freedom? it is merely the illusion of freedom.

God sent His Son to us, He also was given freedom to choose, and temptations to choose a different path than that which he walked. He made His choice, and it resulted in great suffering…more than we can ever imagine.

He freely chose it.

So does every person who has ever been born have that absolute freedom to choose between good and evil. It may break our Father’s heart when we choose evil, but He will not, CAN not, keep us from making those choices or He would be forsworn: He would not be God.

As well, you need to remember that even though this life is all YOU can see, it is not all that He can see; to HIM, as horrific as some of this stuff we do to each other is, it is still temporary. His Son suffered worse (and if you are on the modalist end of the trinitarian spectrum that means you know that HE…God…suffered worse) and came out the other side.

So will we, and that is what God offers more than anything else; His comfort, His guidance, His light in the face of all the evil choices we, and others, might make. .

All that said, He ALSO said something about those who harmed children; something about it being better that a millstone were wrapped around their necks and being drowned before they had a chance to harm a child. They may get away with it HERE, but I wouldn’t want to be them at the judgment seat.
