“Morality driven”?Eggs that develop inside warm bodies should not be affected by climate change. Let’s not turn everything into a morality-driven apocalypse.

Like water driven. You can use it to generate electricity.“Morality driven”?
I believe it…but it’s nowhere in the bible.P.S. The Assumption of the Blessed Mother into Heaven is a Dogma of Catholic Faith. If you want to be a true Catholic, ya gotta believe that.
I thought God already answered that question, He is the origin!! I bet there are a lot of scientists in Heaven scratching their heads wondering how they could have bee sooo mistaken. God Bless MemawThe Pope is wrong.
More evidence that many people do not understand evolution. Evolution is the process of increasing complexity after life already exists. It doesn’t answer the origin question. Scientists still working on that.
Asteroids no doubt contributed to most of the extinctions. However, some dinosaurs did survive perhaps to at least AD 750 the time of church father, St. John Damacene who spoke of their existence and perhaps in the jungles of Africa in the 18th century where a Catholic missionary priest wrote about these strange animals being observed alive by the natives. BUT extinctions did not happen 65,000,000 years ago. Those years do not seem to exist according to other research of the past 20 years or so.It’s official: An asteroid wiped out the dinosaurs

LONDON (Reuters) – A giant asteroid smashing into Earth is the only plausible explanation for the extinction of the dinosaurs, a global scientific team said on Thursday, hoping to settle a row that has divided experts for decades.
A panel of 41 scientists from across the world reviewed 20 years’ worth of research to try to confirm the cause of the so-called Cretaceous-Tertiary (KT) extinction, which created a “hellish environment” around 65 million years ago and wiped out more than half of all species on the planet.
Scientific opinion was split over whether the extinction was caused by an asteroid or by volcanic activity in the Deccan Traps in what is now India, where there were a series of super volcanic eruptions that lasted around 1.5 million years.
The new study, conducted by scientists from Europe, the United States, Mexico, Canada and Japan and published in the journal Science, found that a 15-kilometre (9 miles) wide asteroid slamming into Earth at Chicxulub in what is now Mexico was the culprit.
“We now have great confidence that an asteroid was the cause of the KT extinction. This triggered large-scale fires, earthquakes measuring more than 10 on the Richter scale, and continental landslides, which created tsunamis,” said Joanna Morgan of Imperial College London, a co-author of the review.
The asteroid is thought to have hit Earth with a force a billion times more powerful than the atomic bomb at Hiroshima.
Morgan said the “final nail in the coffin for the dinosaurs” came when blasted material flew into the atmosphere, shrouding the planet in darkness, causing a global winter and “killing off many species that couldn’t adapt to this hellish environment.”
Scientists working on the study analyzed the work of paleontologists, geochemists, climate modelers, geophysicists and sedimentologists who have been collecting evidence about the KT extinction over the last 20 years.
Geological records show the event that triggered the dinosaurs’ demise rapidly destroyed marine and land ecosystems, they said, and the asteroid hit “is the only plausible explanation for this.”
Peter Schulte of the University of Erlangen in Germany, a lead author on the study, said fossil records clearly show a mass extinction about 65.5 million years ago – a time now known as the K-Pg boundary.
Trinity isn’t in the Bible either do you still believe that? Have you never heard of Sacred Tradition? That came before Sacred Scripture. Maybe you need to study your Catholic faith a bit more, God Bless, MemawI believe it…but it’s nowhere in the bible.
Interesting, maybe there really is a Big Foot after all. So all that money spent, lets say over the past 100 years, trying to prove that man came from monkeys, was for naught. My goodness, if only we would listen to God.Asteroids no doubt contributed to most of the extinctions. Thus: (1) Those cute little birds chirping outside our windows could not have developed from one or more dinosaurs and (2) humans did NOT develop from the great apes and separate from the chimps etc. 7,000,000 years ago into hominids as claimed in Smithsonian Magazine March 2010.
Until the above scientists decide to C-14 date the fossil bones of dinosaurs World-wide as well as shell and other carbon containing fossils from the core samples taken from the asteroid impacts the C-14 dating of dinosaur femur bones from the Montana Badlands and other bone fragments from Texas to Alaska still stands UNCHALLENGED as claimed in the research presented in Rome on February 23, 2009 and published in the book, **Evolutionism: The Decline of an Hypothesis **and released November 6th at the Columbus Hotel in Rome Italy www.kolbecenter.org for rantings by the scientific community about the release of said book]says Moses to Darwin.
Philipp, because of lack of punctuation, this paragraph is more or less incoherent. Can you please resubmit it, with commas included at the appropriate places, so that we can understand what you are saying?Until the above scientists decide to C-14 date the fossil bones of dinosaurs World-wide as well as shell and other carbon containing fossils from the core samples taken from the asteroid impacts the C-14 dating of dinosaur femur bones from the Montana Badlands and other bone fragments from Texas to Alaska still stands UNCHALLENGED as claimed in the research presented in Rome on February 23, 2009 and published in the book, **Evolutionism: The Decline of an Hypothesis **and released November 6th at the Columbus Hotel in Rome Italy www.kolbecenter.org for rantings by the scientific community about the release of said book]says Moses to Darwin.

Memaw, you’re a confused thinker. Did you even understand what Steve wrote in post # 482?Trinity isn’t in the Bible either do you still believe that? Have you never heard of Sacred Tradition? That came before Sacred Scripture. Maybe you need to study your Catholic faith a bit more, God Bless, Memaw
Granny, I’m all in favor of independent thinking. Has someone on this thread been championing dependent thinking? But overall, in the west, independent thinking drives decisions regarding how much religion is taken seriously.Blessings, grannyIsaiah 55
All ’ BUT’ certain, that means their not certain. Here we go again with educated guessing. MemawNo, this one needn’t be considered. An asteroid impact is all but certain as the cause.
I do.Seems someone was asking awhile back, Who does your thinking for you??
Memaw, do you understand how science works? Have you ever visited a university and talked to a scientist? Do you understand what a theory is? Do you know how confirmation and disconfirmation of hypotheses works? All ’ BUT’ certain, that means their not certain. Here we go again with educated guessing. Memaw
Yea, yous’d da champ for dependent thinking. Yous’ wants us to depend on the “bureau of concensus.” All others please need not apply.Granny, I’m all in favor of independent thinking. Has someone on this thread been championing dependent thinking?
I do understand how some try to make a theory sound more like a fact when it isn’t. Just look at all the different theories on this thread that disagree with each other. I can’t even take my kids and now grandkids to our local Zoo with out seeing a big and I mean big poster showing how man ‘evolved’ from Ape. No explanation that its just a theory and they have NO proof. Whats the old saying that a picture is worth a thousand words! What message do you think they are trying to get across to us??? I don’t have to be a scientist or even know a scientist to know that is wrong. I, with my little uneducated mind, (at least in great scientific matters) have to explain to the kids that man did NOT come from apes, God created Man to have dominion over them. God Bless, MemawMemaw, do you understand how science works? Have you ever visited a university and talked to a scientist? Do you understand what a theory is? Do you know how confirmation and disconfirmation of hypotheses works?
No trace has ever been found of the ‘missing link’ either.Memaw,
(1) There is almost certainly no population of “Bigfoots.” A viable population of Macrofauna like that would require tens of thousands of caloric (name removed by moderator)ut per day, leaving unmistakable traces of predation in the areas they are supposed to inhabit. No such traces have ever been found.
(2) I’ve never heard of anyone spending money trying to prove that humans came from monkeys. Where did you come up with that idea?
Not according to geoformeo. From his Post #214: “…if dinosaurs and man coexisted, men would be eaten and eliminated.” Thus, according to some, dinosaurs ate flesh too. Not sure about the cake. The dinosaurs existed for 90 million years before man showed up. What did the dinosaurs do? They ate grass. God watched them eat grass for 90 million years. God loves more than we can imagine. Therefore, God created dinosaurs to watch them eat grass. Also, have a piece of cake.
Gee whiz don’t pick on poor Memaw for your goofs. It’s you that don’t seem to know how science works. When an hypothesis like you promote is challenged by laboratory and field research you got to check out those anomalies. That’s how science progresses!Memaw, do you understand how science works? Have you ever visited a university and talked to a scientist? Do you understand what a theory is? Do you know how confirmation and disconfirmation of hypotheses works?
