I have a holy cross which my family bought from Lincoln city OR when we went to the beach and then Accidently it broke from where the cross meats the mount. and then i found the discovery, i found an idol like figure in the mount. i was very surprised. it looked like a standing wolf almost with long ears. can someone please help me?

About how big is the cross, and what’s it made out of?

Yours is certainly an intriguing find; it may be something that only incidentally looks like an idol (which I hope it is) or it may be a real one, which would be quite disturbing.

Just so its clear in my mind…its not a crucifix?

Wow, that’s really interesting. Can you post a picture of the cross and the wolf-like object? It would be really interesting to have a look. . .

I’d need to see it. take a digital photo and attach it so we can see what you’re talking about.

not really its more like a cross with a stand it doesn’t hang from the wall
This is just me…but, I would stay away from crosses and stick only to crucifixes.

Nowadays people will hang a cross around their neck or in their home and call themselves christians or “believers in something higher”.

An empty cross in christianity symbolizes the resurrection… but we as catholics emphasize Christ crucified.

It is the single, most important event in the history of salvation yet it is the most rejected symbol by non-catholic christians.

If I were you - I’d get rid of that cross. Get it out of my house and use holy water to bless the house.

Well off track 😃 But, I spent a lot of time in Lincoln City growing up. My grandparents lived at Roads End and my mom lived back behind the Pines Restaurant a few blocks. Some good stomping grounds!

Sorry about the cross, but I have a feeling the Lord broke it for you. It was protection of you, to not have something like that in your home.

I was thinking something like that too, Pani Rose. That there was a reason that cross broke, so the OP would find the idol inside.

Can’t wait to see a picture, Rudy!

Rudy:
I see the image link for your picture but not the picture itself.

About the cross: I agree with the advice given. Get rid of it.
Especially get rid of the tiny image.
Sprinkle holy water around your house.
