Why did you choose Christianity over Islam?

But just on the surface it really appeared to be a tribal religion to me.
This question isn’t really directed at me but I did look briefly into Islam and the first thing that caused me to pause was this. It felt like a faith for the Middle East by the Middle East to the Middle East. Nothing in it clicked. It had some beautiful wisdom but so do many writings. It just mostly seemed foreign.

One of the many reasons:

Galatians 5

1 Christ freed us to make us really free. So remain firm and do not submit again to the yoke of slavery.
2 I Paul, say this to you: if you receive circumcision, Christ no longer can help you.
3. Once more I say to whoever receives circumcision: you are now bound to keep the whole Law (judaic law/ Torah - francisca) .
4 All you who pretend to be righteous through the observation of the Law have separated yourselves from Christ and have fallen away from grace.

So, those who are circumcised, they should observe the Jewish Law. Alternative to that, is to become Christ follower. It looks like Paul didn’t mention any third alternative.

Those who worship The Name, only have these two alternatives.
