Why do liberals act like they can't live without contraception and abortions?

Hm. The thing is, if you don’t believe in a God then the whole idea of contraception is no longer selfish. The way you phrased this seems to me that you believe that “liberals” are simply using contraception to annoy God, but you’d forget that most people using may not believe in God (or, at least, not your God). The fact is that contraception doesn’t hurt anyone other than your God, a being that I don’t even believe exists, so I therefore fail to see how it’s selfish.
Its selfish because it allows you to put your sexual gratification before all else, including the person (who becomes an object) that youre having sex with i.e. allows you to use them. It allows you to do as you like and bypass the consequences of your actions. As you can see, everythig is centered around you.

Before all else? No I don’t think that people who contracept put sex before everything. And I certainly don’t think contraception turns an otherwise happy, loving, and supportive couple in to objects to just be used for sex. If that were the case why would anyone contracepting get engaged or married? I mean really, why commit yourself and tie your life to someone that is only an object of gratification?

How negative must your attitude be towards sex to be angry that people do it without having to face consequences? Sex is great, it brings a couple together, it expresses love, it should never be treated as something that someone deserves consequences for enjoying.

And yes, my sex life is centered around my fiance and me. Just us. No one and nothing else. And I don’t call that selfish, I call that happy and normal. I certainly don’t owe my sex life to others, least of all to people who don’t yet exist.

Birth contra pill has been grouped as a class 1 carcinogen with tobacco and asbestos by arm of the World Health Organisation, International agency for research on cancer

I suspect if you asked majority of women who took the pill whether they knew about this they would not know because doctors and other providers that give out the pill are not telling them, perhaps they do not even know themselves
The reason this is true is because the research on birth control and cancer is FAR from conclusive. Some studies even suggest that birth control prevents certain types of cancer.

While joblessness and homelessness is at record highs all the left cares about is providing more contraception and abortions and forcing everyone to pay for it.

So, should I give up my views because others don’t think the same way I do? If I and people who think like me do someday happen to have abortion made illegal, would you be OK with that?
Luckily there aren’t enough people who think like you for that to happen.

No, there have been a lot of legislative actions tackling joblessness and homelessness since Obama became president. House republicans however have yet to introduce a jobs bill, despite their campaign promises to do so. They have introduced several on abortion though.

And once again, you just quoted me, took it out of context, and didn’t address what I said at all.

Also I see that class 1 carcinogen claim on here all the time, but I can’t find a reputable source to back it up. I can’t even find anything on the WHO website about it in the section addressing carcinogens. The only sites I find that make that claim are religious ones, which makes me think it’s a rumor that got out of hand.

Nah, mate. Maybe that’s what you believe it looks like, but you can’t tell me my motivation for sleeping with someone, know, can you? There are some heterosexual couples that remain monogamous and dedicated to each other and yet choose not to have children. They’d use contraception, and yet their sex is, I’m sure, still as loving as if a couple that didn’t use contraception did it.

Obama and the Dems had a super majority and did nothing but make the economy and national debt worse because all that was on their mind was expanding abortions and promoting the “gay” agenda. Dems have had free reign with their majority, so they have no one to blame but themselves for all the homelessness and economic despair.

I guess if you’re unaware of all of the health, bank, student loan, consumer protection and housing laws that have been passed all I can suggest is that you start paying attention to your government and perhaps start reading newspapers.

What are you talking about? The economy is a huge disaster. That’s the real world.

Yep. And it will stay that way. The numbers are better than they were under Bush, but this is pretty much the new normal. Economists pretty much all agree that neither political party can fix it because we are a service based economy and the rise of technology is continuously replacing even more jobs. Once again, if you think this is Obama’s fault all I can recommend is reading.

Using contraeption for convience to deter conception or kill a child isn’t selfish? It seems to be sacrificing dignity and chidlren to the idol of convince. Even without a belief in God, I would believe it to be so.

Contraception hurts the children that are killed when abortafacient contraception is used. It hurts the woman because she is demoted to an object that can be used and abused, and opens her up to being suppecitable to cancers and disease.

Not even looking at this as a religious issue, look at the medical research - cervical cancer, breast cancer…death.

With God subtracted from a situation (which is actually impossible) you are still left with a couple being selfish. They are not fully giving themselves in “love,” (or lust, as the case may be) but holding parts of themselves back.

When as fertility become a curse and pregnancy a sickness?

Birth control and surgeries takes a beautiful gift and breaks it - it fixes nothing.

I didnt say sex before all else, they put themselves before all else.

Consequences are neither “deserved” or undeserved. They are just results, good or bad. Removing the responsibility of an act simply so that it satisfies the self, is very much selfish.

Being monagamous is not selfish. Using one another for your own gratification solely is selfish. People marry for all kinds of reasons, and this does not prevent a person from being ibjectified. Some women marry men for their money, some men marry women for their sex, etc.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I’ve seen your posts. Call me when you get a clue. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I don’t know what you are laughing at. There aren’t enough people in America that believe abortion should be illegal for it to ever be overturned. It isn’t going to change either.

So, you get your way. Killing babies is legal. Proud of yourself?

The pill can cause long-term problems with hormone levels - meaning women who get off it wanting to get pregant found that they have ruined their fertility.

Our family friend is a pharmacist and he was telling us of a woman who is in the ICU right now because blood clots keep going to her heat - and the reason they are tracing these clots back to? The pill.

Since 1975 there has been a 400% increase in “in situ” breast cancer among pre-menopausal women under 50 years old. This mirrors the increased use of birth control over these same years. (“In situ” is a medical term which means “at the location”

How about the danger to the unborn child? One cannot claim to be pro-life and pro-contraception. It is now said that for every 1 child born, 2 have been killed by surgical and chemical contraceptives.

When you take God out of His gift of human sexulaity, you will end up paying the consequences - if not in this life, in the one to come.
