If CCL instructors were presenting to an audience that saw NFP as their only option maybe they would follow the strategy of, “we know NFP is awful and not terribly effective but it’s your only option.” You have to realize that most instructors only rarely instruct people who intend on using NFP. Most of the couples who receive instruction on NFP are there because they are required to take it as part of marriage prep.I agree with what you’re saying. But NFP isn’t exactly a product to be sold. It’s a morally acceptable option for family planning provided by the Church. People shouldn’t have to be “sold” NFP. They should use it because it is approved by the Church and contraception isn’t.
